Explore Livonia's Mexican flavors with our restaurant recommendations.
“This petite, classy cool, modern Mexican restaurant has been a favored destination for lunch and dinner! The dishes are familiar yet uniquely prepared and presented. We are smitten with the flavors coming out of the kitchen at Maya. The atmosphere is simple refinement-nothing excessive, everything you need. Service is always friendly, timely and considerate of every diner’s needs. Excellent cocktails as well and happy hour is, well…happy!“
“Seems like a pretty chill place.Things I liked: staff was super friendly. Smelled and looked clean. Menu was behind the register with large print making it easy to ready. Food was fresh, all the cheese was melted and very flavorful.Things I'd like to see: organization at the front of the store. Yes, it was clean but it seemed cluttered as if someone started stocking the fridge but got distracted about half way through. Seating, I'd prefer to sit down and wait. I'd really like to be able to eat in there but understand that regulations/licensing may be a factor.I would absolutely recommend.“
“We love this restaurant! Good food, good drinks, good service, and best of all the happy hour is terrific. There’s no other restaurant in Plymouth/Livonia area that has a better happy hour deal. My husband and I have officially found our family’s Mexican restaurant!“
“Num num! We've been looking for a new Mexican restaurant since our old favorite closed. We found a coupon for this place and decided to give it a try. This restaurant is off the beaten path, but it's now my new favorite Mexican place. The restaurant is very nicely decorated inside with a large bar area and outside seating area. We were seated immediately. Our waiter, Brian, was super friendly and very efficient. We got the salsa and chips immediately. Their salsa is a tad bit hot, but not terrible. Chips were the usual type for dipping. We tried the cheese quesadilla. Fantastic! Piping hot and super melted cheese. We both decided to try the Chimichanga dinners. I tried the beef and he tried the pork and chicken kinds. They were both delicious as was the red rice and garden salads that came with them. We were both very impressed with the whole experience. The menu has plenty of dishes that we're looking to trying in the future. I've finally found a new Mexican restaurant and am so happy. It's been a long search after well over a year. We'll definitely be back!“
“It's one of our all-time favorite places. We have been making the 35-minute drive for 20+ years to visit the Nook. Great food. Service is always good. I just with that they were open more hours. Half liter of margaritas and a Tijuana bypass please!“
“The first time I went to this restaurant, everything was on point. I loved the food. My waiter and the atmosphere was awesome, and I got a chance to watch the pistons on the big screen TV. Definitely, going back today, it was worth every penny. It was extremely busy, but they handled everything professionally.“
“We saw this place on social media and knew we wanted to try them out ASAP! So, we made plans to go. The only day we were free was Saturday. We thought we'd chosen a time (1:45 ish) where it would more than likely not be too busy. Well, not the case at all. They were very busy and we chose to wait the 1 hr they told us it would take before being seated. My wife gave them her number to contact us when our table would be ready. Apparently, they sent the message, and she missed it. What we didn't like is --- I'm assuming bc of how busy they were, and bc we didn't respond asap -- like, within minutes, they gave our table away to another party. We ended up waiting another 30 minutes after being told only 10 more minutes. As for the customer service, it was decent. Ambiance was nice.Food, it was ok. My wife ordered the Barria tacos. I took a bite and was glad I didn't order them myself. They were dry, and the meat was over seasoned, IMO.The menu, however, is vastOverall, they were ok.It's a good authentic Mexican food experience.check them out.“
