I was thrilled to find marinated pork belly as the pork in my noodles (pork and vegetable option). This was a "need a towel, not a napkin" kind of meal - messy and great! From the moment we sat down, she greeted us with a warm, genuine smile and a friendly attitude that instantly made us feel at home. Iffy is the kind of server every restaurant dreams of—attentive without hovering, incredibly knowledgeable about the menu, and quick with every request. She anticipated our needs before we even had to ask, and her upbeat energy made our whole dining experience feel special. On top of all that, she carried herself with such professionalism and grace, all while juggling a busy dining room. It’s rare to come across someone who clearly takes pride in their work the way Iffy does. Senate Coney Island is lucky to have her, and I’ll definitely be back—partly for the food, but mostly for the top-notch service from Iffy. Highly recommend asking for her if you stop by!“

“I have wonderful memories of the Maurice Salad at Hudson's and yours was one of the best I have ever had! I also loved the warm pita bread that came with it. Delicious! I brought two of my lady friends with me and they also had the Maurice and felt the same way I did. We will spread the news and also be back! The salad had a nice amount of meat and cheeses and of course pickles. The dressing was outstanding and there was enough to bring almost half of it home for my lunch the next day! Keep up the good work!“

“Love the lunch specials. Be careful. Waiter did not mention that fried rice wasclose to a 5 dollar upcharge . White rice would have been fine. Wonton soup is a winner. Get the large bowl for your table as an appetizer and that alone may fill you up. Love the lettuce wraps. On their salad order some peanut dressing to give it some needed flavor.“

We had the chicken cream chops and our friends had the chicken tawook. The portions were extremely generous, our server Rita was so fast, kept checking on us and gave us great service! Would highly recommend this restaurant, and we will definitely be back.“

“Sandwiches are somewhat inconsistent. I had two GREAT BLTs (5 stars) over the past week and then I dropped by today grabbing two giant BLTs ($30) for my brother and I. We get home and start eating and both look over at each other at the same time: Something tastes off. After opening the sandwich we see that the tomatoes are more green then red (see photo) and the lettuce tastes rancid as though it's been sitting on a counter in the sun for the past few days. Absolutely inedible. However thankful the staff were understanding and did issue a refund. I look forward to more (hopefully better) sandwiches in the future.“
