“I like many of you, like using the review score when making purchase decisions. I never just look at the score. I look for the number of reviews and I try to find helpful reviews to give me more incite into what I may be getting into. My wife works in a business where the reviews really matter for bringing in new customers. She often talks about the long-time customers who keep returning but have never left a review. Those are really the voices that should matter more to people who want an honest review of the company they are looking into. Unfortunately, even though I like looking at reviews, I seldom leave one unless I'm very satisfied with the company or really disappointed. In both cases, I leave my emotions aside and tell things as I experience them. This means that if everything wasn't perfect, I don't ding them for minor stuff. I give people the benefit of the doubt because we all have those days when we aren't at our best. When I read bad reviews about restaurants that I frequent often, I wonder about the person leaving the review. I feel that they are either competitors with malicious intent, someone who didn't try to listen to resolve whatever issues they perceived to be happening, or simply someone who's looking for a reason and is too hard to please in the first place. So with all that out of the way, let me get to the Lim's Star review. I love Chinese food and it's one of the first things I looked for locally when I bought my house 10 years ago. There are several in what I would consider my drivable area. Lim's Star is in my top 5 or higher depending on what dish I'm looking for. 10 years means I've been coming there since before the current owner. Do I miss the dinner rolls? Not really, since I get better quality food and personalization of meals on request. The new owner knows us on sight and remembers what we like to order. He even allows us to modify the ingredients to our liking. He is very friendly and will engage in small talk to get to know his customers better. We eat at or buy takeout from Lim's Star at least once a month, sometimes more. Has everything always been perfect? No, but I really can't recall the last time I was dissatisfied with my order or service. Based on my long review, I'm hoping you can tell I have had many enjoyable meals from and experiences with Lim's Star. Seriously! If you are on the fence or willing to try something new in your area, start with a dish you know to compare. I doubt you will be disappointed in your comparison. Mark J.“

“Supernatural is pretty amazing! The staff are really cool, friendly, and did I say cool?! Seriously, I have been going to Supernatural for a little over 8 months (I never knew it existed before then) but I am glad I made that first visit!! The food is great, the beer is amazing!! Shadow Realm is one of my favorites (Oatmeal Stout) and being British by birth, trust me when I say I'm a bit picky when it comes to beer. These guys have it nailed. BTW... Li'l Nicky... You rock! I just tried the Ginger Jalapeno brew that you made me for my birthday and that stuff should be on tap... hopefully it will someday soon! Keep doing what you do guys!! You can bet I'll be back again... and again... and again!!“

“Just came to say I enjoy the time I spend at the Wintergarden. The Wednesday wings are great and I get them almost EVERY Wednesday, the Sunday half off pizza is also a great deal and quite tasty. The service is usually good, but it depends on who is working. I am usually there during happy hour so my review is based on that. I have three bartenders I particulary like to see, Brei, who unfortunately for me, has branched out to better herself and is not there so often anymore, Alison, who knows my wing order by heart, and Sam who kicks butt and takes great care of me.“

“Was excited to try for the first time. Got three meals and some extra sides. Got home to incorrect order but went back and was given the correct order free of charge. They were attentive. Wasn’t thrilled with the food but restaurant looked clean and the whole team stayed busy working on orders. Mix ups happen. Glad they corrected it :)“

“I got their breakfast burrito & personally that’s one of the best I’ve had anywhere! The salsa they serve on the side is delightful & the server I had I believe her name was Katie, she made my husband & I feel very welcome as it was our first time & we weren’t sure what to get, she didn’t rush us into anything & even recommended a few items that she likes, the breakfast burrito being one of them which I can’t thank her enough for. I also love the look of the place the windows make it feel so open & when the suns out it’s a very pretty little cafe aesthetic to dine at. I didn’t rate 5* because even though the service & food was great their was a lot of commotion in the kitchen & even some yelling which just kind of makes the dining experience a bit awkward, wish they were more professional.“

“I rarely write reviews but I want this restaurant to never go away. Go there, spend your money, you won't be upset. Comfortable restaurant, fantastic staff, and amazing food! We ordered appetizers, lunch, and take out for dinner. We got the Reuben Spring Rolls, Pretzel Sticks, Monte Cristo and the Bourbon Burger with Sweet Potato Fries, all delicious! The Mushroom Soup and Beef Stew are the best I've ever had!“

“Clean. Had grilled and fried jumbo chicken tenders, salads, crunch wraos and sweet rolls at the Dearborn location. We tried chicken tenders, the fried chicken sandwich, and grilled chicken sandwich. Fried chicken was good, a little salty but better than being bland, firm but tender, not chewy, moist, and flavorful. Grilled chicken also flavorful but not as salty. Mac & cheese had good flavor but too mushy (overcooked). Sweet rolls were $8 for some, $10 for others. Rolls were baked through great with gooey fillings. OG was our favorite! The biscoff cookie butter flavor didnt come through as much as the cinnamon filling did. Same with the oreo flavor - bit too much cinnamon with the crushed oreos for filling but the topping was great. Peach cobbler was really good but not half as much cinnamon as the biscoff and oreos - surprisingly. Been wanting to try these for months and SO glad we did!“

“My wife and I stopped into Anna's House for breakfast this past weekday and had a really nice experience overall.

First impression — the place is just warm and welcoming. Clean, bright, comfortable, not too loud even though it was fairly busy. You can tell they put effort into making it feel like home. Lots of natural light and friendly staff saying hello as you come in.

We both had breakfast — coffee came quickly and was hot, food was excellent. Everything came out fresh, nicely plated, and you can tell they use quality ingredients. Generous portions too, we definitely didn't leave hungry. You can see why this place has such a loyal crowd.

The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is the service was a bit slow. Our server was very nice and apologetic, it just seemed like they were a little short-staffed for the morning rush. Nothing major, and they were working hard, but we did wait a bit longer than expected for our order.

That said, we will absolutely be back. It's a great neighborhood spot for a relaxed breakfast, and the food and atmosphere more than make up for a slow morning. Highly recommend giving it a try.“

“We had a celebration of life event for my mother-in-law this weekend at Fiamma. I had never been there or even seen it because I love out of state.

“I like this place. Used to live nearby, but moved in 2024. I now travel 17 miles to go to this place. It has a low key vibe, service is good, and the food is good. It's inside a Nordstrom at the mall. So, it's a good spot in between shopping errands and seeing a movie at the AMC. They have a happy hour and a bar. They share pretty much the same menu as Cafe Verde at Century City & The Grove, which is blocks from me, but I prefer this location and they have French Onion soup which the others don't.“
