“We had a really rough week recently—our daughter had been in the hospital, our fridge went out, we were running on zero sleep, and work had been stressful. On the way home, we stopped at Portillo’s in Livonia for a late lunch, just trying to get through the day. The kind woman taking our order asked how our day was going, and my husband honestly said it had been rough because our daughter had just gotten out of the hospital. She immediately expressed genuine concern, told us she was sorry, and said she hoped our day would get better. When we pulled up to the next window, that same sweet employee came over and asked if we would like some free dessert. We thought that alone was incredibly thoughtful. Then she asked us to pull forward for a moment. Shortly after, the manager and a couple of other employees came outside with our food. The manager told us he was going to comp our entire meal and said he understood how hard it can be when your child is sick because he has kids too. They all wished us well and showed such kindness. I truly wanted to cry. My husband and I were exhausted physically and emotionally, and this simple act of compassion meant more than they probably realize. It completely turned our day around. If anyone from Portillo’s sees this—thank you. Your kindness made a difference for our family when we really needed it. If you ever think a small act of kindness doesn’t matter, think again.“

“We are very grateful to Leo’s Coney Island(our go to for coney) who has donated gift cards for the last 2 years to benefit the Livonia Stevenson cheer team. It will go towards a raffle basket for a golfing fundraiser at Hilltop golf course in Plymouth on September 13th. “When I lived in plymouth earlier this year, I went broke because of this place. It's so damn good. I took my sister here last month, she almost cried from how good the burgers are. I bought my coworker a burger from here, she said its the best burger shes ever had. I took my boyfriend here today and he was in love. This is money worth spending. Best burgers, ranch and tatertots around. 1000/10 recommend“
