“Gentlemen, my day started out with getting a different car for a friend today, and then checking to see if my mom's house that she grew up in is still on 51 LeBlanc, River Rouge, unfortunately it's no longer standing, so we finished by stopping by for a Lafayette Coney Special, It was the Best Coney Dog and the Service was Awesome, God Bless You All & Thank You, & May Your Business that has been around since 1914, have many more years, Therefore if anyone is traveling through Detroit, MI, make sure you Stop By & Get Yourself a Lafayette Coney Island Special, You Won't Be Disappointed.“

“This place is awesome. The service is incredible. But the food was even better! The interior of it takes you back to a simpler time. Family owned and operated. The server was the sister of the cook. The coney dogs didn’t stand a chance. Fries were so crunchy and delicious. While there, the folks sitting to the left of me ordered breakfast. I’m definitely coming back just based off of how good their hash browns looked. 10/10. Definitely coming back!“

This was probably one of the most down-home and enjoyable breakfast experiences I had with my family in a very long time. Thank you Lons on 6 Mile,

“So, I tried 22 coneys this day and they were in one of the better ones. The business itself was very busy, but the staff was quick and efficient and extremely patient about the questions that I had about their food.

Decided to check this place out on wednesday with the $1.65 coney day.
It was one worth the price and worth regular price.
Nice, tasty chili and the bun was steamed.
The natural casing hot dog had a slight snap to it..... Not the best of dogs, but it was pretty good.
I would definitely come back to this place, as it's a really good coney, better than Kerby's, which I know is not saying much.
I went to Duley's for the first time yesterday and that coney was terrible.“

“I had 5 broken teeth and 2 large abscesses and couldn't eat much of anything but was starving. I was looking for something soft to gum. Thinking tamales or beans and cheese. Of the options the flour tortilla beef birria seemed to be the best fit. I ordered those, a side of beans and, a side of consomme. Was amazing. Just on the edge of what I can tolerate heat wise (I am a wimp). Great taste. I used the consomme to make birria ramen for a later meal. (Just beef ramen, 2 sticks string cheese, and the consomme). It was also great, very satisfying.“
“Giving five stars because you guys are awesome people and the community loves you!Constructive feedback regarding why people have stopped coming;•The lady at the front counter takes a bit longer than is preferred considering most people are just stopping for a "quick" bite to eat.•The prices are a bit high. $6/each ?If you had a $2 Tuesday you'd have a line down the hall at least $3.•It looks as though you've watered down the coney sauce to save money. If you were to lower your prices and speed up service this would be a no brainier.I hate to see good business' fail for silly reasons especially if it's as simple as someone giving them honest feedback.It can be difficult to give good people negative feedback. But it is important to do this, especially if we want to see businesses in our community thriving.“

“The woman who owns it has been there for 15 years. The hot dogs were beautiful and prepared the best I have ever seen. This is far better than a coney Island. My daughter got the nicest veggie dog I've ever seen. Worth the stop right near eastern market.“

“First time visiting today. I had an online order and I was able to pick it up on a table for online orders. The place was lively and seemed like a nice place to meet a friend for lunch without spending a lot. My chicken yero and small Greek salad were both delicious (and nicely packed)! I will 100% be back.“

“My experience here was fulfilling. There was no wait for a table, as dine ins seat themselves. The booths and tables are clean, the diner is spacious and cozy. The service, servers and food is immaculate. Even the bathroom is tidy and well kept. This is my first time here but will be coming back!“

“"Sometimes you wanna go where everybody knows your name, and they're always glad you came!" Hambo is EXCELLENT all the way around! Great food, consistent customer service that makes you feel right at home, and the staff has been a real blessing to me, my husband, and our children!
