I have been coming to this location for 25 years and have always enjoyed it. However, this last visit will change my perception if it continues. The service, which is usually very quick even when busy, was beyond slow. With only 4 people inside and 2 at the take window, I waited 15min for 2 cheeseburgers no onion and a fry. 1 burger was correct, the other not. The size of the burger was significantly smaller than normal and as thin as a pickle slice. The fries were just a pile of the crumbs left in the bottom of the fryer, way over cooked and hard as a rock. Oh, I should mention that it doesn't matter what order you order something compared to another customer, everyone who came in after me got their food before me. What is going on Bates? Do better.

This place is a damn institution for sliders! Holds up under any circumstance- I'm hungry, I'm not sure what I want to eat, I'm drunk and hungry. Bates always delivers.

I go to this place about once a year not because of the food. The food is what you expect, some greasy burgers that pair well with a hangover. I ordered today over the phone and I was told 15 minutes. From my last experience I remembered waiting well over the time quoted. I left about 15 minutes after I ordered. I placed my order at 12:07 and was pulling out with food in hand 12:46. Almost triple the time I was told, that’s the main reason for the 3 stars for service. An honest time is very important in the food/restaurant industry, I know this well because I work in the industry. As I know mistakes happen in food and what would you know, my no onion coney dog had onions on it. I will attach the photo of the receipt and 2 coneys on the receipt. I will be back here but it probably will be at least 3-4 months because I do not appreciate wasting my time with mis-quoted food time.
Just a side note when I arrived there were about 4-5 people in the tiny crammed carry out vestibule. All of them except me and 1 other guy had left and the other gentleman had an order for Steve and asked “I called this in before all these people got here and ordered.” Then the employees response was “it’s no onion on the burger that’s why it takes longer.” I can see them not cooking the burgers and onions together so that makes absolutely no sense. I then chimed in “I had no pickle , that’s probably why mine isn’t ready. “
I think it’s best to just come in and place your order because every time I phone in the order it takes 20 minutes when I get there. I think if it’s not paid for they just make the order when you arrive. Or at least the burgers because the coneys were pretty cold.

One of the few places to go for old fashioned sliders. Not the garbage restaurants put out and call sliders because they are small hamburgers. Get them with extra grilled onions for an even better experience.
We drive an hour to get these burgers!! They are small, but mighty in flavor!

Heard about this place and know it has been around for a long time. Def not worth the money. Culver’s tastes much better than this boiled (?) piece of meat with 1/4 teaspoon of ketchup & mustard and 1/4 piece of cheese. The fries and chocolate milkshake were the best part.
