My family and I came in from out of town to visit family. We used to live in the neighborhood behind this place and used to bring our kids here when they were little. I remembered how they liked the ice cream and WAS a cute little spot to go to. So we decided to get ice cream here. We drove 20 mins to go here. My nieces are half black and my husband is hispanic. The workers were super rude to only us. I started to pay attention to how they spoke to us VS everyone else.
We kept getting the dirtiest looks from everyone the moment we got there . After they slapped our ice cream on the counter and slammed the window shut I asked for napkins one of the workers handed me 2 napkins, I politely asked for some more bc I had a lot of ppl with me and she threw the napkins towards me on the counter and slammed the window shut. My niece asked for a cup for her 3 yr olds ice cream cone and she looked at her and walked away and never came back to the window.

We went expecting hand-dipped ice cream because the name Han-D-Dip implies hand-dipped ice cream. It came up in a search for hand-dipped ice cream in a Google search, too. It was also cash only so we had to leave. The menu looked good, though.

Great little place for all kinds of ice cream treats.
I arrived about 20 minutes before the posted closing time on a Friday night, only to find the store already closed. My current rating reflects the disappointment with the timing rather than the quality of the ice cream. If I have the opportunity to visit again in the future, I'll consider updating my review based on that experience.

I lived right around the corner from Han-D-Dip for 5 years in the 80's. I had many large cones with chocolate dip[. They were always perfect. I have had a few the the last 7-8 years and they have always been just right. Tonight I was handed one which was barely dipped at all. One woman working there said something to the effect that it was badly done and i was pointed to Evan who had done it. His excuse was "It's hard to do. What he should have done was dip it again or give me another one that had been dipped properly but he didn't. I suppose that if you want to go there make sure that Evan doesn't make your order. He is rude and doesn't care about the quality of his work.
