As a Ukrainian, I know how to make my mom's varenyky (aka pierogie) and my aunt was the "Pierogie Lady" at her church for 25 years, so I like to think I have some credibility. We got about 4 dozen, including a "mystery" dozen. We just finished the mystery dozen a few minutes ago, and they were all fantastic. The galumpky were fabulous as well!. 1000% would recommend, we will be back.

If you are having second thoughts about getting some of these Pierogi’s; do not!! They are so good and you will not regret it. Pricing is excellent, and when I tell you they are so good you won’t even want to use sour cream! 10/10 would recommend to anyone!

Was visiting Detroit - and looking for something out of the ordinary. Lila's came up in a search. Wow! Fantastic. Mainly filling; the outside is thin - so you get the good stuff. Sturdy enough for pan-frying; use lots of butter. About 2 dozen varieties ranging from potato and cheese to sauerkraut and polish sausage to apple pierogi.

Awesome, handmade, delicious. The first 3 words that come to mind about here.

Authentic perogi's just like my Busha used to make. Got about 3 dozen for the family coming over, and they were amazing! Can't wait to come back!

In complete transparency, I’ve known Lila’s family for many years. The store is the type of place I’d probably drive by without ever knowing what a gem it is had I not known some friends opened a shop there.I’d estimate that they always have about about 15-20 different varieties and I usually pick up a dozen of 3 different kind every time I go in. I’d like to try them in the air fryer. But those baskets are too small. I’ll still be craving more. So I sauté them in a pan until they’re golden brown. Jalapeño, ham, and cheese are one of my favorites. You will not regret giving these a try!

Always get great service here. The pierogi are delicious. They are the closest to my Babcia's when she was still here to make them for us.Do yourself a favor and grab some blueberry while they're in stock. Fry them up in butter, serve them with sour cream. Smaczne!

I tried the standards:--- stuffed cabbages, potato-onion-cheese pierogis, and sauerkraut-sausage pierogis. I grew up on homemade and church-made versions of Polish and German staples, lived in a polish-speaking neighborhood. I love the fare, though I am typically disappointed by anything available at restaurants, even the "Polish" ones. Lila's food was AWESOME, with care in making that showed. It tasted similarly rich to the dishes I grew up on, not the bland, cafeteria style Polish food around today. The person who helped me was probably the next generation or two from the original Lila, and was very friendly and nice, and aside from expressing the obvious pride for his craft and describing some of the quirky pierogis, said that the golabki's were their family's recipe.I loved the items I bought, and they have made a new customer of me, AND I have told my extended family. We love Polish food, don't like all the prep work, This is perfect!!

We stopped in to Lila's and purchased some pierogi's and stuffed cabbage. I put in a search for a Polish restaurant on Google and they came up. We were close so we went there. It is not a restaurant. Everything you purchase is frozen and you need to prepare at home with instructions. "Actually frozen solid" . Or at least we were not given another option. There is not a dinning room. Or one single plastic patio table set should not constitute for dining room. Although the food was good when we prepared it the next day. We still had to purchase food again for that day. This business should not be considered a restaurant. I don't know how this business can come up in a restaurant search. You must prepare this frozen solid food the next day after it thaws out. This should be listed as a Polish food distributor. Of frozen food You must prepare at yourself.

Walked in at lunch without much of an idea for how the system works here. Find out that you buy the pierogis precooked and frozen. A couple dozen home for the wife and myself and my goodness were they good. Process is easy enough to heat up and fry. We had some extra so it was easy enough to just throw those in the freezer for later (I'll probably buy more next time to stock up). Immediately the wife commented how amazing the pulled pork ones were. The shop said they're a newer item so I hope they keep them going, they're fantastic. Everything else checked off all the boxes. Chose from some of the traditional favorites to keep it simple. Glad to find this place, staff is helpful and it's a straightforward setup with a simple menu. I'll have to keep the freezer stocked.

Absolutely the best frozen pierogi shop around. No fuss store. In and out. All pierogi are frozen to be cooked at home. They will do special orders but only in large quantities.
