Great food like mom used to make. Veg soup. So good. Fast, take care of customers. The waitress all smiles. Quiet no noise. The quiet just people enjoying their meals. No kids! Business people, couples, older people. Their prices are $10/15 per meal. I'm going again soon, great foods. Very quiet family restaurant. Have a lot of foods. All very good. Ample parking. Relaxed atmosphere come as you are, no fancy dress required.

Sam’s Place — The Hidden Gem Hiding in Plain Sight 🥞
Tucked right at one of Livonia’s busiest intersections — literally next door to a legendary burger joint — Sam’s Place somehow still feels like a secret. Step inside and it’s pure small-town diner energy: the coffee flows like conversation, and the food hits like nostalgia.

I’ve never strayed from the Porky Pig Omelette, and honestly, why would I? It’s cheap, delicious, and consistently perfect. My wife swears by the rice pudding, and she’s not wrong — it’s comfort in a cup.

The place is cozy, the prices are kind, and if you don’t grab a slice of cheesecake to go, you’ve made a grave mistake.

5/5 — humble, hearty, and habit-forming.

So disappointed. We usually order from here! But oh man the last time we ordered. They served me nasty stale gyro pita and their chicken lemon rice soup was not good anymore so sad and it wasn't cheap

Great chicken noodle soup for a cold.

Food is very good and all homemade. Staff is very nice and I believe they are mostly family. The restaurant itself is a basic diner that's kept clean with no frills.

1 star is even too much for this place. My boyfriend and I stopped for brunch. Mold on the ceiling window covers, mold in the back corners, the smoke detector looks like something from the early 90s and should probably be updated. This entire building needs major updates and repairs.
The food was gross. I had the Reuben. Worst. sandwich. Ever. It was boiled meat that looked like rubber. A good Reuben should be shredded and definitely not boiled in water before serving it. It soaked my bread.
My boyfriend had the western omelet. The eggs were not fresh at all and also had the consistency of rubber.
The waitress pretty much ignored our table the entire visit.
I do not recommend.

The last time we were in, we had a very somber young lady wait on us. It would seem like she would be happier with a different job. We didn't even get a good morning. But, the food is always excellent.

Severs are beyond friendly and I felt so cared for! Food is also just a perfect taste of home! Would recommend potato and ham soup! Originally recommended by our favorite waitress!

Food was very bland, service was slow and pretty inattentive, even the fountain drink tasted odd.
