We have gotten PAZCKI’s here for the past two years since hearing about them. They are wonderful and vegan but who cares they’re still fantastic😀
The best Paczkis we’ve ever had. I also had the “Boston cream” donut which was also amazing.
Amazing donuts by an amazing lady. This is a small business run by one person, so you have to get lucky and plan ahead to find her wares.
I was introduced to Toi's donuts at the eastern market in Detroit, she makes some of the best donuts period, vegan or not. I think about the Bustin cream once a week. I'm hoping one day Toi can open her own brick and mortar and have a team, her work is amazing and unique.
I come from a family of bakers (we literally owned a bakery in Detroit called Tysars for 40+ years) and I know the mark of a special bake shop. Toi's Caribbean has this distinction! I am speaking the truth when I tell you that I was so excited to try Toi's creations, I literally brought my own almond milk from home so I could enjoy them right at pick-up. (I made the right choice.)
The flavor options and variety Toi offers are out of this world. I tried so many different things and loved them all. I got both cake and yeast raised doughnuts, cupcakes and paczki's. Every single thing was delicious. The cake doughnut had such a moist texture and was not greasy. The passionfruit lemon icing on it was also perfection; it was sweet with just the right amount of tartness. The yeast-raised Bustin Creme was fluffy, filled with the most scrumptious vanilla and topped with a heaping helping of chocolate. Paczki's were not dense and had a nice airy feeling, they were also filled with a very generous portion which I definitely appreciate in a paczki. The chocolate sweet plantain cupcake had great texture and flavor. I loved biting into the cake, soft plantain and hard chocolate on top all at once. It was divine! And last, the chocolate orange whisper cupcake was chocolate heaven. Choc cake, choc buttercream and choc ganache with a light twist of orange. I love chocolate and this nailed it!
Toi was attentive to my questions asked online and emailed me back. She was also so friendly in person when I met her at pickup. Everything was packaged neatly and her storefront is as clean as can be. It also seems like Toi works hard to keep her prices as low as can be. Ingredients, rent, equipment, packaging items etc all cost money and I recognize that her prices reflect someone who is conscientious.
Every item that Toi makes really seems like a tiny triumph. So if you want to know what a tiny little triumph tastes like, head to Toi's Caribbean! She is a very talented and creative chef and it shows. Once my stomach settles from this latest haul, I'll be back in! Thank you so much Toi!

I went…with 4 kids in tow all hoping to try their donuts. According to the google listing, they should be open until 4pm. It’s 2pm…and the place was empty and closed.
I had been dying to try these donuts for ages! I don’t find myself in Detroit as often as I used to and had never had a chance to try them. They had a booth at the Ypsi Veg Fest, so I had to snag a couple. I got the Dulce de Leche, Strawberry Mango and Lemon Poppyseed Hibiscus. They were all incredible. Some of the best vegan donuts I’ve tried.
And I don't say that lightly lol. These are THE best and if you have the opportunity to try them, you have to! The Bustin' cream pie is incredible.
The best, most flavorful donuts around. I was crying happy tears they we re so yummy!
At Fall Veg Fest, I tried the apple cider glaze donut holes, and they were seriously delicious!
