“We live in Amsterdam (Netherlands) and have dined internationally. This is a fabulous restaurant which could hold its own in Chicago, NYC, or any major city. Charming ambiance, excellent food and wine. Our server Jason was attentive, friendly, and efficient. The crab cakes and pecan coated trout were sublime and the homemade lemon pie to die for. Highly recommended! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”

“In a world where so many businesses feel fake, manufactured, contrived, however you want to describe it, Starving Artist is an incredibly refreshing and authentic place.

All outdoor (some covered) seating; the beergarden is outside of a barn behind a house on a country road, a few miles outside of Ludington. The beer itself is outstanding and punches way above its weight class; I would argue it’s among the best I’ve had in Michigan. Some classics like a great cream ale, and some inventive, creative options too.

Andy is crazy nice and just a fun guy to chat with. Cans generally available for purchase and the beer is all super fresh. Hops growing around the beergarden too. Support this place and keep amazing spots like this going strong forever!!”

“We checked their website and it stated they were open. We drove about an hour and a half and when we got there they were closed. They need to change their website hours of.operation. We have dined here last year and.it was fabulous. A little expensive.”

“Stopped in to try the pizza here at Ludington Pub. It is a local hometown pub. The service was very good, especially considering there was only one waitress covering the whole bar. She did a fantastic job. We tried the pizza and also had the cheese curds, both were very good. For drinks I had a mule special they had going on, it was a bit heavy on the ginger. I also had a whiskey sour that was very good. We'll definitely go back.”

“The food is so delicious that I sometimes think of getting in the car and driving hours for some chicken and potato’s. I feel blessed every time I see all of the smiling faces of this family run business. I had to laugh at the comment from the woman below. Why don’t they have fried chicken??? Why doesn’t McDonald’s have steak? Because they don’t. The menu at Cluck Bucket is much more healthy. Perhaps you can find a KFC close by.”

“I went into Applebee’s with my family the other night and the whole experience was AMAZING! We were greeted by a gentleman named Garrett, he was very polite and worked with us to find a table very kindly. There was a bit trouble finding the right table as it was very busy, but a manager (I believe her name is Janna) helped us very kindly. She was sweet and made sure that we were at a table to fill our hungry bellies ASAP. Such a respectable and kind person. As we were sat and ate, our server Melissa was extraordinary! She made sure we had refills when we needed them, made sure our food was out on time and was extremely kind through the whole process. Love this Applebees and the workers there!!!!!!”

“Roasted - street corn on point as always. I love their bowls but didn’t get one this time and tried some other stuff in the lot. Weiner Wagon - Ordered a Chicago dog and just assumed they had it dialed in. No sesame seed bun, peppers, bright green relish, or peppers. The dog and bun were good though, but basically a Heinz relish and mustard dog. I didn’t ask or read the menu so maybe I screwed up but wasn’t a Chicago dog but only charged $5. Wooden Paddle - ordered 1b of wings and it was $14. They were cooked great and the Korean BBQ sauce and Yum Yum was nice. Wings were small but by the lb it is what it is, about $1/per small wing. I’ll be back tomorrow to try out some other stuff.”

“We booked the Cluck Bucket food truck to serve dinner at our wedding! They did an incredible job! Sheri made the whole process so easy, from discussing logistics, to creating a menu, to service. Her estimates and recommendations were spot on and the food was delicious! Several of our guests went beck for 2nds and 3rds! Definitely try their soft pretzels! Cannot recommend them enough!”

Only downside is we were threatened by a man playing pool as soon as we walked in the door, told us we were going to get taken out if we didn’t move out of his way. Cheese curds were the best thing we got. Key takeaway, this place is NOT tourist friendly. Don’t go here if you’re a tourist.”

“Such a delightful and delicious option after an afternoon at the lake. The location has a lot of history and memorabilia to look at.

The entire staff is friendly and fantastic. We watched Andrew whip up “Pig’s Dinner” and other shakes and sundaes. We tried everything from sandwiches and salads to onion rings and chili dogs. I had the nutty turkey salad. It came with lettuce, tomatoes, hard, boiled egg, and pecans on top. I had it with the honey mustard dressing. It was fabulous. Our server Natalie was beyond wonderful handling our group that took over the counter area. It is pretty popular so there can be a way to be prepared, but you can always get ice cream to go.”

“We had the best dinner Friday night. My husband had the prime rib and I had the caper chicken. Both were outstanding!! Our waitress was the best. We live out of town and this was our 2nd visit here. “They go out of there way to make sure their customers are happy. Their food is GREAT! We have ordered from them many times. Recently Amy at Papa John’s went out of her way to make sure we were satisfied with our order. There were problems with the pizza being delivered on time. She took the time to call us twice and then delivered the pizza to us personally. She also took the charge off my card, without me even requesting. Very happy customer!”

“We’re from out of town, but was really happy with the cleanliness of the restaurant and restrooms. The staff was very friendly and patient with our 3 young children, while they decided on their order. The food tasted fresh and you could just tell they cared.”

“I read the reviews here before choosing a spot in Ludington for our anniversary dinner. I was impressed with such high reviews, and we went last night. We were seated downstairs at a booth, and our waitress was extremely kind. The atmosphere was very relaxing. We don't like crowds, and while there was clearly a lot of fun being had upstairs, we were enjoying the quiet on the first floor. Once we ordered our food, it only took 15 minutes to arrive at our table, and the combination of flavors was heavenly!! We each ordered a different burger and requested that they be each cut in half. We both got to enjoy the succulent flavors of both combined with the most amazing fries I've ever eaten! We upgraded to the garlic parmesan fries, and they were worth every penny! We will DEFINITELY be returning.”
