If you haven't tried Walmart yet, they have the best prices and almost everything. Most things are a dollar cheaper than what Myers charges and you don't need their weird in coupons.

I went specifically to buy 24 quantity of one item. I know they are renovating. But they have 3 employees collecting pay for nothing other than pointing people into the right queue for checkouts. I walked right past them. No way am I going to stand at self-check long enough to wait for the scanner to reset between items while I ring up 24 identical barcodes. The woman follows me into the queue, staring into my cart. "You could use the self-checks with fewer customers waiting." "You could open a register and use the quantity button and I'd be out of your way," I told her. Of course, she went back to staring at others who have the audacity to think someone paid by the store should scan and bag their items. I get my receipt and head to the door. 2 gatekeeers BOTH SITTING DOWN, neither is particularly close to the door. Neither has a cast, walker, cane... they are just sitting. So as I flip my receipt showing I checked out with a human and paid, to the one closer to the door, she says something about needing to see but I was already out the door because my hands/arms were full and it was clear neither of them felt the need to get off their seats. I would love to say this is a fluke. The truth is, this location has never been a good experience, since they first built it. The remodeling seems to be with the goal "we can make it even worse" and there are zero employees who care about the company. I usually go to Meijer, but, I got my annual dose of the Ludington WalMart and expect that will be enough for a long time.

This is a good place to visit if you are traveling or local and need to grab a variety of needs. I had no problem grabbing what I needed while visiting Ludington. Warm greeting and quick in-and-out.

Okay, I totally get that many places are all having problems hiring and retaining staff...but that doesn't mean have few or no registers open. Stop forcing people to use the U-Scans, not everyone wants to use those. There needs to be at least one person at all times able to use a register to check people out. If you have to get a manager on it, then get a manager on it. Take responsibility and leadership! I can somewhat forgive the bare shelves because of outside forces since a lot of other places are facing a similar problem as well. I used to love coming to Walmart though...now I just dread it because it's not a great experience anymore. Review your internal leadership policies and revise as needed to help with staff retention.

I was so happy with my son's graduation cake from Ludington Walmart bakery! It was perfect and tasted great too!!!!

I asked the manager working in the home department if anyone was working in the clothing Dept. I walked all around looking for someone because my daughter needed to try on some shorts. The manager gave me a dirty look and said" if theirs no one there then it's closed". I asked her if she could call someone because the sign said open from 9-9 and it was 12:00. She paged someone and then looked at me and said in a really rude tone of voice " there's someone there now!" Said geez as I walked away. Someone by the clothing department said he would call someone so we waited and then someone else told us we had to come back in thirty minutes because everyone was on their lunch break!!

Kudos to Rhonda in the Walmart Vision Center! We just traveled from Texas to Michigan, and I lost my prescription glasses on the last night on the road. I was desperate to get another pair, and she was most helpful getting me set up in with a new pair in less than a week! Great customer service!

I am review their phone service. I have been calling my local walmart since 1-16-21. I even let the phone ring for over 4 minutes, on multiple tries. All departments were called and yet i got no answer. Finally after 2 days of trying I got ahold of someone in the pickup department who was able to transfer me to customer service. Just for the agent on the other end to be rude and short with me. I just wanted to know if I left a bag at a register. End results.... customer service is below acceptable and response time is horrible.

I love it here but no benches or places to sit, I'm like, whaaat- there's lots of stuff to buy tho and there's always plenty of staff to help you if need be.

I have never had issues shopping at this store. My only complaint is the produce seems to go bad quickly & my refer is excellent, so cannot blame it:) I have been ordering online & scheduling pickup dates/times. It has been awesome. They picked items with very good dates, everything was at a good temperature, and I got exactly what I ordered. When there were substitutions I was always asked if I wanted them. I was informed both in my online order , and when the worker brought my groceries to my car. I also have been helped out to my car. Oh just one other complaint... their bags for groceries are so flimsy they are indecent! They break or rip easily. They should double bag everything, which is wasteful. Coming from California, where every bag costs 10 cents, guess I like having quality bags I can reuse:)

I never have registers open deck spec you to pay for your stuff and do their job to buy checking yourself out stupid concert when you go down the street and pay the same prices
