1852 Grill Room

Our dinner was fabulous. We tried everything and nothing disappointed. Rich the bartender was great. Our server was fantastic. I think her name was Julie. Staff couldn't have been better! Met the owner of the hotel Angel. She actually called to get us a carriage back to the Grand. She took time from her family to try and help us and we weren't even staying at her hotel. Next time we are on the Island we will be staying there! It is a must for the restaurant as well!

This is the best steak I ever had. Our waitress was beyond amazing. It was a beautiful restaurant.

The atmosphere was beautiful, the food/wine/dessert was delicious BUT the service was “Hands down” the BEST service I have ever had. Will was our waiter and he was wonderful, he helped make it such a great experience! We definitely know where we will be eating every trip back!!

Excellent service and food. Whitefish is always solid and the smash burger they added is outstanding. Always enjoy the Island House

It was amazing, quiet, and warm. The prime rib was phenomenal. The truffle fries are a must as well. It is worth your time. The booking was very easy. They welcome you with a smile and with class. I hope your visit is as wonderful as mine.

My family and I had such a wonderful time at this restaurant. From the moment I stepped in the place I was immediately greeted and even with the amount of accommodations I had asked for the worked with me on those. Our server Beth was truly amazing and so kind. I really recommend this place. Wonderful food and wonderful staff

1852 Grill Room was amazing. From our view to the service to the food. The Steak Oscar was cooked to perfection. The baked French onion soup was delicious. The parmesan risotto was so creamy. The artisan bread board with roasted garlic was a wonderful. Everything was ala carte and a little pricey, but well worth it.

Wonderful experience; quiet, wonderful server, good drinks, excellent food. Highly recommend

1852 was a very nice restaurant. My only complaint was we were sat near the windows (which was nice as we requested for our anniversary) but the table was a small half curve which made us seem kinda crunched in ( maybe being a little picky but had never sat that way before). It was a little noisy, so you couldn't here the piano player. Still would recommend for a nice dinner

The food was excellent!!. We had a special short rib starter that was so tender. The brick chicken is a must. We enjoyed parm risotto and green beans for sides. Nice selection of wines. Loved our table looking out to Lake Huron.

We love going to 1852! Food is always excellent, service is outstanding, atmosphere is awesome, and the view is spectacular! The whole restaurant is just wonderful! Everything is beautifully decorated. Even the table settings are beautiful! Oscar was our waiter last night. He as great! He took the time to go into detail about every special and tell us all about them. He was very attentive as was everyone else. Thank you for making our visit so special! See you next time!

Fantastic service, food & cocktails! Definitely what we expected for a high end restaurant. Our server, Jacqueline, was very professional yet energetic & engaging. Made our experience even more enjoyable. Would highly recommend and we'll be back again next season!

The restaurant is beautiful, service was wonderful and the food was delicious. This was our first time dining here. We will be back for sure! Highly recommend the skirt steak and pumpkin pie for dessert.

Short rib osso bucco was delicious with mashed potatoes. Great Old Fashioned cocktail. Excellent pianist. Oscar took great care of us.

William was our waiter for a very special dinner. The food, the mood, the service were all impeccable!
