If you are a foodie - this might be one of the only places on the island that will be a winner. We love the ambiance of the Grand Hotel but this has much much finer food. We got the vegetarian 5-course tasting menu and it was fabulous. Excellent service and wonderful live piano performance.

Very disappointing experience. I specifically made this reservation for my boyfriend’s birthday and even noted it on OpenTable, yet it wasn’t acknowledged at all. For a place that’s supposed to deliver a special experience, that’s unacceptable. His steak was good, but my “pasta” was a joke for the price — tiny portion, no bread, nothing to make it feel worth what they’re charging. On top of that, the service was pushy and inconsiderate. Our server kept trying to upsell us instead of making the evening enjoyable, which felt rude, especially during a birthday dinner. Definitely not impressed and won’t be returning!!

We enjoyed a wonderful meal at Chianti. The server was extremely knowledgeable about the food and wine. Lovely setting and ambiance. Will definitely go back.

Food was excellent. You can choose a prix frixe menu or an a la carte. Servings were big enough to share on the a la carte menu. Fresh in-season items. Service was good and attentive. Piano player chose beautiful songs that blended with the nice atmosphere.

Had an amazing 5-course meal here on my trip at Mackinaw. Everything was delicious and well proportioned, I was very satisfied at the end with every dish!

A wonderful menu. We chose the chief tasting and wine pairing. You pick your selections. The portions are just right. The chief is very creative and each plate was playful and tasty. The wines selected for pairing were a good compliment. We come to Mackinac Island every year and this will be a destination for dining when we are here. Thank you.

We just got married at Mission Point on July 4, 2025 and had the best experience!! Julie Suddon and Charlotte Mills and the entire staff were incredible. Julie was super responsive and sweet from start to finish. Super easy to work with and just a nice person. She transitioned us to Charlotte Mills to do the actual planning and the transition was super smooth with tons of communication. Charlotte was equally impressive. Her communication was great from start to finish as well and fantastic for our rehearsal and the day of the wedding. Just super smooth from touring to actually getting married. We were so thankful for the wonderful and professional communication which eased any stress we could’ve otherwise had! We are so happy we decided to choose Mission Point and recommend anyone do the same if looking to get married on Mackinac Island!! Food was great, bartender was great, the vendors were chose were all on the suggested vendor list which made things super, super easy! Just so smooth, cannot say that enough! Thank you for making our wedding day perfect and for making the planning so fun and easy! Julia and Chris McAlpine❤️

Resort smells of mold and mildew, rooms are even worse with window air conditioning from the 80s. Flooring was wet and entire room smelled. There was even a section in front of the sink that was dipped and clearly rotting anyone could fall through one jump. To top it off the last day there was a cockroach in the bathroom as we were packing to leave. Would not go back. Location was great but hotel itself and pool area need substantial work!

An amazing meal featuring Michigan grown fare. The charred endive and early spring salad woke up our palates and the piano player set the mood. The service and attention were magnificent. We opted for the chef specials of Sea Bass and Wagyu Ribeye. Both were beyond good. A thoroughly well thought out and executed concept. A must eat for gourmands and foodies.

First timer here. Had a room outside of the main hotel that wasn’t to par. They gladly changed our room and we were much happier. Expected rooms to be older because well, it’s Mackinac. Clean room, friendly staff. Food just ok. View spectacular. As a designer, I feel the rooms could def need a bit of sprucing up. Especially the art work. Not enough storage (shelves etc) in bathroom. TV outdated. All that being said-I would stay again, but ask to stay in the main hotel area. Very cozy.
