The wasps were getting annoying at the outside tables so I we had to move inside.

The best view in town. The team was kind. Would give a five start but food was just
ok. Really it was the great service and view is the reason to go.

Obviously great atmosphere and views but the service was terrible. There was a manager who was trying to help get our drinks/order but his staff was all over the place. I should mention that there was only 3 other tables while we were there. Took forever to get waters and a fruit plate. We ended up just leaving cash on the table and walking out because all the staff was gone and we never got a bill

Very nice seating overlooking the harbor, the park & downtown. Service can get a little slow when busy. Very welcoming staff. They have fantastic iced coffee and delicious berry cobbler. Yum!

Imagine you're on a beautiful but a little pricey to visit island. Now pretend there's a walled off place you have to pay to enter. Inside that place think of what an overpriced, low quality food, small portion, limited menu restaurant would be like.

You don't have to imagine! You can eat here, pay too much and everyone can leave hungry (except the kid that got chicken fingers, the twin with the burger was still).

The view is great. Its the same view as the sides of the building but with seats on a sloping porch and umbrellas.

The view was beautiful but I do not have anything else positive to say.
Food was truly awful. Hospital food is 10 times better than what they served. The servers only cared about bussing the tables quickly so they could get sat again. If they cared more about the quality of service, or being personable or friendly, they would receive a much better tip percentage, but there wasnt even basic courtesy or manners. I have over 20 years in the restaurant industry, including management, and this restaurant is a joke.
So disappointed that we had to eat food like that on our special vacation. If we weren't so hungry, we would have not eaten any of it. My mom couldn't even chew the bacon from her sandwich. My BBQ chicken sandwich had no BBQ. Whatever sauce they cooked it in was watered down. The bun was soggy and tasteless. The flatbread was awful. Tasted like they used cheap flavorless sauce. How do you mess up a flatbread?
Definitely do not order the coffee. $7.00 for the worst coffee I've had in a while.
Skip this place. Trust me!

Nicest view of mackinac island but if you don't want to waste your day waiting for food, it is better to eat elsewhere.

Let me start with the good since there is less of that. The view is beautiful.

Now that’s out of the way, the food was terrible.. and I mean the worst! We went for tea.. it’s $5 for a pot of hot water and a tea bag. The tea sandwich board was awful! The cucumber sandwich was so soggy the bread was a mushy mess. There was a hair on the cheese sandwich. The scones were good but you only get 3 small round scones.. moral of the story.. do not get the tea board. Also they had kraft Mac and cheese on their menu for $15.. no joke, Kraft Mac for $15. We went here because we wanted to do the afternoon tea and not spent the money like at the grand hotel.. we should have just spent the money. You have to pay to get into the fort and then pay for the crap food.

We should have known it was bad when we went at noon and it was seat yourself with no wait at the outdoor seating.

We had a large group and sat at three different tables. One of our tables got drinks and food before our other table even got their drinks. The price for appetizers was ridiculous, especially for the quantity you got (very small). The main food wasn't great but the sizes were decent.

The host sat on his phone for 5 minutes while we waited in the rain. He was perfectly aware we were there but said nothing. We went inside and asked a server to seat us. When we were served, he spilled hot water on me and didn't even offer to bring napkins to clean it up. He just left me there with burning hot water on my lap. They also sat us at a dirty table, even though there was only one other occupied table.

The tea was very good. The food was mediocre for the price. The atmosphere was lovely. Staff needs to improve greatly.

So amazing! What a wonderful surprise while we were
Touring Mackinac Island in the horse carriages. We stopped & got off at Fort Mackinac to explore & soak in more history. We were getting hungry & decided to see if this a snack bar. Tremendous surprise! We found a Tea Room run by the Grand Hotel! What!!! Everything we ordered was perfect & delicious! We all loved our lunches. The mountain top view was fantastic! God has blessed us with such magnificent views here on earth. The service was terrific!! Such a sweet surprise!! Be sure & enjoy the hot Cherry 🍒 Cobbler with ice cream when you venture up there! Just wonderful!!
