Wife's dinner was good, she got coconut shrimp. I got full slab of ribs. Good season, taste and fall off bone but somehow they were dry, chewy.

As a year round island resident we appreciate the variety that Kingston provides year round. Awesome staff comfortable atmosphere. Always recommended.Vegetarian options: I appreciate getting authentic unique Island flavor as a meat free dish is a rare treat. Jamican veggie patty is one option.

Great food, great people!Pet friendly patio.Had the pleasure of eating at Kingston kitchen on our holiday on the island and the food is delicious! Met the chef as he was going around ensuring everyone's food was good. Very nice gentlemen who made us feel welcomed.Just of the main road but one not to miss if looking for a great meal.Would dine in again.

I'm visiting Mackinac Island during the off season. So it is admittedly very quiet. One of the few happening places is Kingston kitchen. I've eaten two meals here this weekend and both were fantastic. I must say though I'm especially impressed with the Sunday brunch. It has a fantastic Jamaican flavor and I've tried curry goat, braised oxtail with butter beans, and an absolutely wonderful shrimp and prawns combo. Of course there is all the regular brunch things. There is also an omelette station with the chef himself making omelettes to order. I'm currently enjoying a lobster, sausage, peppers and cheese omelette. It is one of the best I've ever had!If you want traditional breakfast foods course, all of those are on offer as well. I also can't in this review without mentioning the homemade buttermilk biscuits which are to die for.Okay guys! The mimosas are huge! You definitely get your money's worth and they are garnished with fresh fruit. An absolute brunch win!The service has been fantastic. Everyone is so friendly and it's very fun to see the chef himself out interacting with guests. I highly recommend this place and I will definitely be returning anytime I visit Mackinac Island.

The nicest staff ever great you at the door like they have been waiting all day for your arrival. Then they serve you a drink from a very creative cocktail list, leading to a dinner of Jamaican comfort food. I kid you not, this is the BEST fried chicken batter I have ever had. Plus we learned about different Jamaican foods and learned we liked plantains. The restaurant is cozy, clean, with plenty of room between tables.

A Caribbean restaurant on Mackinac? I was so surprised but not as surprised as I was of the delicious food! I am a Jerk Chicken connoisseur. I am always looking for the best. The Jerk here was really good. Especially when you have it with the rice and beans and plantain. Not to be missed. The staff is wonderful also. Highly recommended!

Our dinner and drinks were fantastic! We had the planked white fish. We will definitely stop back there on our next visit to the island.

We enjoyed the wonderful jerk chicken and a special fall entree of chicken pot pie. Fresh and incredibly flavorful. Not one speck of food left on our plates. This will be a must visit every time we’re on the island.

My husband and I recently dined here for supper during our visit to Mackinaw. It was pet friendly and really delicious, so returned the next day for lunch. Greeted warmly and service good both days. The porch is tight for a dog laying there and they maneuvered well without a complaint. For supper, we had the curry and blackened alfredo with a side of plantain, all excellent. I was hoping for more veggies in the curry. 2 beers with this and tab $115 which is a bit high. The beer was pricy. We were in the mood for a burger and had those for lunch the next day. They were excellent as well. Tab $55. Would return on a future trip to explore more of the menu.

We had a fantastic dinner here! There were four of us, so we were able to sample quite a few items. Everything was delicious and very authentic. The fish cakes and smoked jerk pork were real standouts. Our server, Monique, was super friendly and efficient. They even have Red Stripe on tap. We’ll definitely be eating here again soon.

The food is great and a nice change to all the seafood on the island. First time eating at a Jamaican restaurant. The jerk chicken was rich and flavorful, but not too spicey. My husband said the goat curry was the best dish he's had in a while. Service was great!
