We chose this tavern as it states it's the most historic tavern. I guess I was expecting it to look more historic on the inside. Decor was OK: Paneling, tvs, video (gambling?) machines. The service was excellent, as was the food: boneless wings, tavern burger and fries and baked potato soup. The hot apple cider was sweet and so good!

A dog friendly place on Mackinac Island - they even had a pup patty for my dog (he loved it!). The food here was amazing and so was the staff - would definitely recommend if you are on the island !!

Totally impressed! The food was so good. We were able to have our dogs with us on the front patio. The chicken sandwich was my favorite. It had a kick with a bit of hot sauce and the slaw mix toned it down and paired beautifully. The fries were crisp and tasty. And the seared in mustang brand on the bun made the perfect presentation. Salads were tasty and the cheese curds were the perfect starter. Would definitely recommend if you have your pet on the island as there are a very limited number of places that allow them.

Absolutely need to give praise to our server, Carlos. He was hands down the most pleasing person to interact with we’ve experienced at a restaurant in a long while. Kudos to management for getting him on board. Prompt service. Dogs allowed in the outdoor seating. Good draught beers.

Had the whitefish BLT, it was fantastic. Service was pretty average and our waitress was disengaged and at times just rude. The waiter of a different table had to help us multiple times because ours would disappear for 20 minutes at a time.
