Food was excellent. Waiting for a table was horrendous. Person in charge explained our group of eight couldn’t be seated at two different tables of 4 each because that was a separate list, etc. Not logical per myself, lawyer and priest. And after waiting 30 minutes she sarcastically says, I can just take your name off the list. I have never heard of a restaurant without a public restroom until this one. A poor patron needed to go, the same employee tells him to go left then right and up a block are the public restrooms. Never again for me!!

Well I always enjoyed eating at the house of pancakes when visiting mackinaw island they are usually busy and the way I really didn't mind wasn't that long. The problem I had is when we were see that we were seen in the restaurant next door which was the ice cream restaurant and it was freezing cold the air was blowing it was so cold on the island because it was early morning and then it was freezing in the restaurant that air literally is blowing on our heads and it was hard to enjoy the meal because it was so cold and before I can finish ,my meal my meal was cold I write my pancakes hot and fluffy. We asked to be seen inside the restaurant dining room we had already did our weight and we were seated what was cold or they needed to keep the ice cream cold it didn't make sense to us and it was not enjoyable.

If your party is too big for the Chuckwagon, come here. Nice upscale diner vibe. Tables and booths. My veggie omelette was over salted(was it the veggies?), but it was huge. Attentive, young staff. Good coffee.

Excellent place for breakfast. Fun choices and wonderful pancakes. May be a short wait, but well worth it. Good coffee, crowded seating, ice cream & fudge through doorway, staff was friendly. Absolutely love the hashbrowns (crunchy and tasteful).
Wheelchair accessibility: Would need to use a table near windows, crowded tables and somewhat tight walking.
