This is a cozy restaurant on the grounds of the Grand Hotel.  It is even better since it sits away from the touristy hotel, which has its own charm.  We began with a couple of great cocktails of martini and lime vodka.  Our appetizer was a capreses bruschetta wonderfully prepared with burrata and heirloom tomatoes.   Then came the best steak frites I have had in the US, the meat was perfectly medium rare and completely melted.   We also tried a whole filet of trout with exquisitely crispy toppings.  We finished with a silky crème brûlée.  In all, a wonderful dinner we will definitely miss.

Stopped by for lunch on a rainy afternoon. Enjoyed sharing a French Dip with my husband. It was very good. Fresh bread, tender roast beef and the Au Jus was perfect. The rustic horse and jockey atmosphere was fun!

I can not begin to express how wonderful every detail of my experience was here. The food was absolutely superb, the drinks were beautifully made, the waiter was incredibly kind & did not make it seem like it was just a job to him. The atmosphere sitting outside on such a beautiful day was pure perfection & the company of my wonderful friend was amazing as well. Top notch in every way! Can't wait to go back many more times.

We had a lovely lunch at the Jockey Club last Saturday afternoon. It was a little chilly outside but the fire was lit inside! It was cozy and warm with great ambiance and the food and drinks were delicious. Our waiter, Alfred was fun, engaging and very knowledgable. We highly recommend the Jockey Club if you’re looking for a great place on the island…ask for Alfred! Wah gwan 😎🇯🇲

The entryway. Filthy. Cobwebs. Get a broom and sweep away the dirt and spiders! Lazy staff.

I got the Skirt Steak Salad. The steak was cold and tough as leather.

Friends were satisfied with their food.

I won’t be back.

Tasteless food. Ordered a beet salad and the portion was for a little kid. Mushroom and Brussel sprouts had no seasoning. ‘Caramelized’ brussel sprouts were deep fried.

Horrible place, tourist scam. Avoid

A waiter named Elvis served us. Food an atmosphere was good. But Elvis first started things off by pointing out my wife’s accent without following up on that at all which was awkward and then barely said a word to us and never looked at me. Except at the end he complained to my face that my tip wasn’t good enough for him. He says the minimum acceptable tip for him is 18%. ???

It’s outrageous to be harassed about what kind of tip.. especially when I am already spending so much at your island… just wow.

0/10 terrible. Hostess was rude, server never came to our table to greet us & when he finally came he was RUDE. Paid over $300 for two dinners & drinks. It wasn’t worth it at all. I would highly recommend Carriage House over this place.

Great atmosphere. Mediocre to below average food, especially for the price. $24 for literally 5 shrimp cocktail. Then the kids Mac n cheese for $15 is Kraft, no doubt. Steak frites for $35 is just a meh small steak and the same French fries I was eating at the pool, and that came with the kids meal. Don’t waste your money

Amazing service! I wanted the watermelon salad as an appetizer for dinner ( it was on the lunch menu), but he made it happen and got it with my dinner. Everything was so good and so delicious.
Everyone was so nice ?

Well, being somewhat associated with the Grand Hotel, you'd think that The Jockey Club would be top notch in every way. Well, is WAS is some aspects (view of the golf course, outdoor seating, etc.) but the food was truly terrible. The service was prompt and timely. Back to the food. I had the shrimp appetizer - that was good/average. The French Onion soup was the weakest and tasteless French Onion soup that I have ever had. Then, I was really looking forward to my $68 bone-in NY Strip Steak. Oh my. It was less than 1/2" thick on top of dollop of mashed potatoes. I ordered it medium-rare. My first cut at the edge was over-done but that's expected. As I cut deeper into the steak, it was STILL overdone all the way to the center of the steak. Even worse, the steak was a coarse, tough, tasteless, un-marbled and certainly a lower grade piece of meat. I would have returned this steak at an Outback Steak house! I stopped eating it and told the waiter that I would not pay for the steak. Fortunately, he DID take it off the bill. What a disappointment! My girlfriend's prime rib was not quite as pathetic as my steak, but she only ate 1/2 of it as it was pretty bad too. Unbelievable at the prices they charge!!!

Great place for photos only. Food is good but overpriced and there isn't a good variety.
