The Jockey Club at the Grand Stand

Girl’s vacay for four and the Jockey Club was selected for dinner on our second evening. Food was delicious…two prime rib dinners, a salmon and swordfish. Food was served hot, great seasoning, cooked to perfection. Cocktails were excellent. This restaurant is a keeper! Wonderful service!

Six of us for dinner with 5:00 reservations. Maurice was our waiter. Oh my gosh, he couldn't have been nicer, more attentive, made great suggestions that we all loved. Really great personality too. The food was excellent. Drinks were the best ever.really cold beers with great selections. We would highly recommend this restaurant. Be sure to sit in Maurices section for the best service ever.

Excellent food. Excellent service. The French onion soup was some of the best I have ever had. The prime rib and short rib were wonderful. The grand pecan ball is a nice , lighter option for desert. The chocolate sauce was way above what I have typically had.

Chef Tim truly elevated the dining experience at the Grand Hotel, transforming it into a remarkable event. His exceptional talent shone through, especially considering my restrictive diet. While the other chefs at the Grand Hotel were pleasant, their offerings felt basic. However, my time at the Jockey Club restaurant under Chef Tim's guidance was the most extraordinary culinary adventure I've ever had.

Went to hear Gabi sing and saw that a lobster roll was on the menu- best one I have ever had! The bun was so soft. The chips that came with it were good also.

Received rude treatment by the hostesses, when tried to get a table with my friends. We weren’t seated while the restaurant was completely empty. Arrogant attitude, totally wouldn’t be worth it.

We had a great lunch at the jockey club.. sat at the indoor bar, Oniel took care of us.. great service.. good bar tender. He rates a 5!, thank you Oniel.

Oniel was awesome. His recommendation on drinks were spot on! The long road lemonade was smooth and the mule was spectacular.

Sat outside- wind blowing through- Asked for heater to be put on- took 1/2 hour to get it done- had to remind server. Server acted like she did not want to be there- rude to the point of nasty. Atmosphere good- food good but would not go back due to the service.

⭐☆☆☆☆ Poor Welcome Overshadowed the Meal

We had high hopes for The Jockey Club, but our experience was unfortunately marred by the staff at the front. Despite the restaurant being nearly empty, the hostess was unaccommodating and came across as lazy and inexperienced. When we asked about other available seating, we were dismissed without explanation. It felt like we were bothering her just by being there.

We hoped the manager might offer some hospitality or at least acknowledge the situation, but instead, he was disinterested and disingenuous—completely unhelpful and equally cold in demeanor.

To be fair, our waiter was excellent—attentive and professional—and the food was enjoyable. But it’s hard to fully enjoy a meal when you’ve been treated like an afterthought from the moment you walk in. With better hospitality, this could’ve been a very different experience.

The French dip here was really good, idk if the Parmesan fries upgrade is anything to write home about though, just get the regular fries, also if you get a beer GET THE HALF YARD. That was an experience, you just have to try it. The Oberon on draft is really good. I did not get the lobster roll based on reviews from others saying it was bland. Oh right… fantastic views if you sit outside entrance way , both of the golf course and the grand hotel. Definitely stellar views! Wife got the veggie burger and said it was the best one she ever had, it had nice grill marks.
