Fantastic beer and food with a charming beer garden that’s both dog and kid friendly! The menu is small and the tap room didn’t look like much, but don’t let that fool you. This was a highlight of our up north trip. The Jacob’s Farmhouse beer and brisket sandwich were incredible. Definitely worth a stop and we’ll be back!

Great selection of French/Belgian-style beers with flight options offered. Excellent sandwiches--try the corned beef if they have it.

I loved that we were able to have our dog and sit in the sun but the service was underwhelming. It didn’t feel welcoming inside at all. I also ordered the brisket sandwich which tasted like corn beef rather than brisket.

Great gem of a brewery, that’s a perfect stop on the way to Marquette or Houghton. Staff is friendly and the beer is amazing!

Google said they were open.
Their website said they were open.
Drove north, out of our way, to get here. 4 other people pulled in after us.
Those inside said they were closed so we all left.
Wasted trip.

I’m just following up on your response to one of your reviews….I was with one of the three groups that showed up on November 13th. We were not invited in as you stated instead the person had suggested we should try Mackinac Island Brewery. We had looked on your website and google to see you hours of operation and both stated you are closed on Mondays and Tuesdays and open Wednesday - Sunday. I personally would have never thought to look at your Facebook page seeing as you have a website containing both your hours and an “updates” link. Neither reflected the closed information. Your Facebook post was actually posted on the same day of your closing, November 13th. It’s seems you have a well received business however I feel you dropped the ball for informing people accurately your hours and for those who drove quite a distance it was disheartening. I just want to let people know to call and verify your hours or you to make sure all avenues of information is alway updated.
Danny, thank you for your responses. Maybe the other party was asked to come in and declined because of food however we never hear that offer/conversation, food was not even our interest. We just heard that it was closed for deep cleaning and when asked for a recommendation to another place we heard Mackinac Island Brewery. All three parties left so I cannot speak as to what they were told or heard.
As I stated you seem to be a well received business, the reason we wanted to stop there on our vacation. Obviously we are not from the area or familiar with business operations based on the season. I am happy to change my rating as you have taken the time to respond and I truly appreciate that. If we ever make it to the Mackinac area again (and you are open) we would still look forward to trying your beer.
Exactly what we were looking for!! We were camping in Wilderness SP and wanted a laid back spot where we could drink good beer with our dogs. Wonderful owners were on site and visiting with patrons. Their son is the brewer. Great people, delicious beer, and a beautiful outdoor space to enjoy it all!
We had the pulled pork and brisket sandwichs. Do not recommend either. Very over priced for the quality of food. The beer was decent, service was not .
Great food, awesome drinks and best service. Will be back again!

Wherever I travel I look for a local brewery. I did not expect to find such a special and unique brewery in Mackinaw City. I want to go back and try all of their beers and just slowly drink and relish each sip. Do yourself a favor and skip the usual bars downtown and drive a couple of minutes to get there. The menu is somewhat limited but, the paninis were excellent.
Not bad…but guess I’m not a fan of French or farm style beers. Nothing fancy at the brewery and have not eaten during any of our visits but it’s worth a stop, you might love their beers.

The food and beer were good enough. I’d say it could be improved if the beer making stuff was moved over so it didn’t block the windows. I also think it would be better if there were wait staff instead of having to go up to the bar to order. The hunter orange color scheme is not my taste, but maybe that’s just me! The outdoor space looks great, I’d love to try sitting out there next time.

Excellent beer and the panini was great. The bartender was very friendly and it looks like they have a cool extended patio in the back. The inside wasn’t super cozy and the music was down really low so it felt kind of awkward but I think they were watching a game at the bar. Either way we really enjoyed our visit!

Good beer, great vibes. Whitefish spread was excellent. Staff is friendly and helpful. Nice spot before the tourists chaos that's worth the stop!
