Best restaurant in Mackinaw City for fine dining.

Upscale and intimate, with lowered lights, linen tablecloths, and an exclusive menu featuring better-cut meats, pasta and fish dinners.

I highly recommend the stuffed white fish, which comes with a choice of potato and vegetables. Also be sure to ask for the soup of the day - I had the cream of mushroom soup on a Wednesday-so good! (I'm told the clam chowder on Fridays is even better).

The atmosphere is charming, and feels somewhat rustic with multiple native-american tools and weapons on display, as well as a variety of animal trophies (trigger warning for the highly sensitive).

Friendly service and a knowledgeable staff about the local area.

Free street parking. You'll need to access this part of restaurant through Audie's or the lounge on either side.

Prices are competitive with upscale restaurants found in bigger cities, but portions are generous and you get what you pay for.

My wife and I came in over the weekend for our wedding anniversary, and we loved every moment. Kate is an icon, running the door like a marine sergeant. We loved her! My filet was cooked perfectly, and the prime rib was amazing! But if you go there for one thing and one thing only, get the crab cakes. They are DELICIOUS! We loved them so much we got them again the next day when we dined on the family room side. Audie’s and Chippewa Room will definitely be staples in our future visits!

It’s off the main path a little bit but we are SO happy we went! The food was AMAZING. We had the oysters Rockefeller, onion soup, chicken Philadelphia and steak. The garlic mashed potatoes were to die for! They even did table-side banana’s foster which was fun to watch.

The inside is unique - lots of taxidermy so be prepared if you’re not into that. The prices were very reasonable too for the quality of the meal. We will recommend this to everyone and would love to be back!

whoever "mom" is, we love you. we love this establishment and the hospitality it provided us. we frequent the area often and took our friends and employees on a trip up north to see the leaves and lights. I get bad anxiety in vehicles so we stopped here to get a drink before I made the long haul to the UP. My ex-husband gave us limited time but when we got there it was jamming. the hostess looked at "mom" and asked if she could accommodate us quickly. "MOM" didn't only accommodate us, she represented the company so well that forever more I'll say "mom's place." I love you, mom.

I’m writing this review to rave about the vegan spaghetti and spectacular service we received while dining here. The restaurant is filled with taxidermy and various hunting tools, which is not necessarily the environment you’d expect to have amazing vegetarian options- but don’t judge a book by its cover. The vegan spaghetti was extremely flavorful, the combination of zaatar and garlic on the noodles and the amazing black bean faux meat was such a perfect touch of tasty protein. The bread service was also perfect with the bread being wonderfully seasoned. Our server and the hostess were both very polite and hospitable. We had a great experience here and I would highly recommend it, hands down my favorite meal we had in northern michigan.

Missus Hail To The Chef

We went to the Chippewa Room for our 25th wedding anniversary. I ordered New York strip with lyonaise potatoes, and flaming peach melba for dessert. Everything was fantastic. We were waited on by a gentleman named Joe. He was genuinely happy to be there. Very talented waiter. That's not an overstatement.
