The Chippewa room is a wonderful dining experience. We have been several times. The menu if creative and a wonderful selection. The chef tends to ocersalt the whitefish and perch offerings so you may want to order with "no salt".

Food was descent but not worth what they charged for it. If you’re going for drinks expect to get a really small drink and a really high price tag. Waiter was good and hostess was friendly.

A more elevated atmosphere and experience than the family room from next door, but the trophy mounts were creepy and questionable. Totally a personal decor taste, I suppose. The food was slightly better quality and preparation. The broiled or pan fried fish was better than than the battered and fried fish next door (walleye, whitefish, etc...)The highlight of this experience is the warm, friendly service team. In fact, whether family room, lounge or Chippewa room, the servers are wonderful.Second to the service, the pie. Oh my gosh, the pie... Well at least the cherry pie. Subtlely different than I recall ever having experienced. Sure the crust isn't as flaky and light as some may prefer, but the filling is delightful and certainly hand made.Honors also go to the maple sundae. Unique and a pleasure to enjoy.

Not crowded on a Monday night in October. We ate in the bar. Had the Chicken Philadelphia, it was good. It was quiet and dark. We would go back. The bartender waited on us. Not the best service.

This restaurant takes care to present itself as a fine dining spot, while welcoming casually-dressed travellers like ourselves. Kudos to them! The Chippewa room is a dining oasis in a culinary desert of burger-and-fries joints. My partner and I had one of the best fish dinners ever, from the fried smelt appetizer to the broiled whitefish and rice pilaf, all for a price that is quitr reasonable for the quality. The table service was outstanding. I found the wine list to be adequate, rather than outstanding, but that is a minor quibble in what was otherwise an unexpectedly excellent dining experience in a very small tourist town.

I went back today after 6 years. I had visited thrice between 2015-2017. All three times on a Sunday. Never needed a reservation. Practically had half the dining hall to ourselves back then. So, I was taken aback by the 45 min wait time today, without a reservation. I had never taken a reservation in the past. But, that's not what the 1 star review is for. It's for the front desk lady's attitude. Rude. Seeing how popular the place had become over the years, I can see how you can get away with rudeness. People are going to come back anyway. Politeness is still not out of fashion. I didn't come there to rob or for freeloading.

Mallory was our server, she was amazing. I thought the place closed at 10pm, they closed at 9pm. We got there at 7pm. She was super cool about it made it seem like it was no big deal, I apologized a whole lot lol. Food was great too. I would recommend the bananas foster, they make it right at your table. I will be coming back next time we are up here.

came here during Fourth of July, exceptional and I mean beyond exceptional restaurant. Such a hidden gem, the waiters seem like they’re straight out of a chef movie, excellent service & plating.. I fell in love with the little flowers they put on your table so cutee. Lowkey place, just really good vibes I loved it. I really hope you guys stay the same because you’re doing amazing! Food was amazing as well, super professional I can’t wait to go again on vacation!

Hands down, french onion soup was the best. Service was good. This is a nice place for a nice quiet dinner. If you are visiting, put this restaurant on your to do list. We went twice in one week.

This is Mackinaw City's best kept secret. The food was some of the best prepared we've experienced. The wait staff was upbeat, efficient and patient. We will be back.

The hostess and older lady was very rude. We wanted to go to the bar for a drink before dinner, and she did allow us to do it. Our waitress was very nice and did a great job. After dinner, we went to the bar, and we met the owner and the bar tender both were very nice to us. The restaurant has a unique decoration, which is beautiful and different, but the hostess needs to learn more customer service and treat customers better.
