Nice layout and seemed like a fun place to hang around. I ordered the wings and sorry but they were horrible, the beer was cold and the waitress was nice. Little over priced for the food in my opinion but it is mackinaw city

The atmosphere was nice, and the restaurant definitely has a lot of potential. Unfortunately, the pricing didn’t quite align with the quality of the food. The fries and onion rings came out cold, though the flavors suggested they could be really good when done right. Our server was pleasant and did their job. One concern was finding a small piece of wire in my wings. The bathroom also could have been cleaner. I would probably recommend trying one of the other local restaurants in the area.

Great place to visit. The waitstaff were very accommodating when we accidentally went into an area that was closed with some other groups. Food was great and their beers are delicious.

Good food and one of the few places open in the winter. We ate here twice and both dinner and lunch were good. If the city lot is plowed you can use the L2 chargers for your EV while you eat. They do have gluten-free buns for some burgers and sandwiches.

Me and my family drove a massive 360 around lake Michigan and today drove across the entire U.P going home to southwestern Michigan but stopped at Dixie Saloon after driving for 5 hours to walk into the doorway and stand there for few minutes with no greeting.... had to ask about seats and waiter said to sit anywhere in a tone... When we tried walking to the upstairs section we got told no sitting is allowed upstairs and was said in a louder voice then needed to be told in and was then told the sign at the bottom of the stair way says no going upstairs but the sign only has stuff about that days special and absolutely nothing about sitting upstairs so me and my family walk the down stairs to find a spot at multiple tables dirty and messy not cleaned yet. We found a seat but then decided to leave and go somewhere else... we were looking forward to Dixie all the way from Wisconsin....

Stopped here on our way to the UP…it was a Sunday night and there were only a few others there. But it was wonderful ! The blueberry beer was awesome and the meals so much we couldn’t finish the big portions! Cheese curds a must !

Dixie saloon excellent service and excellent food. 11/28/25 10pm
My son and I stopped in for lunch.we started with the jalapeno firecracker, he had a oink and a moo and I had the buffalo burger. The appetizer was delicious and the burgers were both good. The menu items were all a little pricy but I was not surprised based on the location.

The bison steak bites are delicious! I got mine without the Parmesan cheese and paired them with mashed potatoes. I'll definitely get both again! I got my food to go, so the bartender was my server. She was super sweet and helpful.
