Mackinac Island Winery

I am only giving one star since the wine is decent. But the service in this place is terrible. When the lady doing the wine tasting is asked if she likes her job and and she said eh sometimes you know you have a problem. We walked in no one greeted us, the lady looked at us standing there and looked away. It was only when we asked how to do a tasting were we informed how it works. She was very rude, dismissive and a bit disrespectful. I have never encountered servers that were this unwelcoming and rude in my life. Honestly would not come back. Would have purchased wine which again was okay but do not want to give my money to an establishment that promotes this type of service to their patrons.

Got ignored for awhile when we came in. Asked if we could sit and order some wine (crazy concept for a winery apparently). Server was annoyed we asked and said to sit anywhere and come get her if we decide to stay and want something. Well we just said we wanted wine...?? We left after that, so I can't review the wine. But from the bottles we saw displayed at the entrance, it would've been bad.

how about honor advertisement you have posted in hotel! told it was old advertisement then take it down

If you are going to advertise stuff in hotels you should honor. Advertise for $5 ended paying $16 ridiculous..... Don't advertise it you are not being to honor it. Wouldn't even did it price was told to me before hand

This is a neat place, but really expensive! Two glasses of wine and a 16 oz Mexican lager was $29.45. I was charged for a beer that was not on the menu, I was told all beers are the same price $9.00 + 3.5% sustainability fee + tax, same fees on the wine. I walked down the hall to the Mackinaw Island Brewhouse and they said that's not correct, it should be $8.00 including the fee. The Kicker is that there are no bathrooms in the winery, you have to walk next door through the Nonna Lisa's Italian Restaurant. They staff there gave me a hard time, they told me to go down the hall to the candy store!! Unreal! A brewery, a winery, and a restaurant share two individual bathrooms, two toilets total! Total BS, and probably illegal!!

Had a great time, food is outstanding, and the beer was even better. We had a fantastic bartender/waitress.

The employees here are simply amazing. Very prompt and knowledgeable on the wines. Suggest checking it out.

You can buy bottles for cheaper than u can taste and the service is terrible

My husband and I and our dogs Reagan and Brady ABSOLUTELY LOVED this place and all the wine. The manager was Friggin Awesome and they all made us feel at home. We will be back. Thank you for making our anniversary lovely. Don and Mickey

I got engaged on my trip to Mackinac Island and my finance and I wanted a nice bottle to purchase and open on the wedding day. We stopped in here, and the lady who helped us was the sweetest. When she heard about the engagement she put together a little gift secretly for us just out of the kindness of her heart and gave it to us just before we left. Two wine glasses, and a cream wine that she recommended I try, and I wasn’t disappointed when she gave me a sample! I wish I got her name to give her a shoutout, but just know if you happen to come across the lady who used to work in healthcare, you are extremely lucky. She was so sweet and truly made our day and trip so special.

Tourist trap so called Winery. I stopped in to get a bottle of wine. Huge selection but things seemed overpriced. I went down the street to a small liqueur store and found the same wine I wanted that was at MIW for nearly half the price! It’s one thing to charge a buck or two more but almost double??! Don’t get ripped off, walk a block down the street.

Stopped in to just buy a few wines to try. EXCELLENT customer service. If I could give a 100 star rating, I would. This is the place to go if you need any type of wine or beer. Plenty to choose from, and some even have samples! Very well organized, awsome interior. Stephanie was very knowledgeable, friendly, and extremely helpful. You need to check this place out! So glad we stopped at this winery shop. We will definitely be back when we are in the area again!!!!!!! Wish we had room in our to buy a full case. They even have discounts if you buy a certain amount. Cannot express this enough...don't even question it, trust me. You NEED to go!!!!
