BEST PASTIES around.

Best pasties in Michigan! I wait every year for them, specifically the stroganoff one. The gravy and sour cream are a heavenly mix with the pastie's soft crust and perfectly moist interior. Want a pastie and want it to be a great experience? Get it here!

The best pasties!

So disappointing. We must have hit an off day. The pastie crust was somehow both tough and gluey. The inside was good. Chicken gravy, not good. Chocolate chip cookie, not good (except for the chocolate chunks), peanut butter cookie good. 😕

Wow. Where do I begin? First, I'm a Yooper and have been eating pasties nearly 50 years. I have never encountered such an awful one in my life. The price being $12.29 PER PASTY is shocking. We paid over $26 for two small pasties! If they were knock your socks off pasties I wouldn't be this disgruntled, but man, these things were really just poorly made. They were so undercooked the potatoes were hard in places. The crust was raw, to the point one side was still white with the crust overall being very soft and floppy. This is not a pasty you can hold and eat, not only because it is so soft, but of the strange way the crust is folded. The cut of meat used must be full of fat because the filling is incredibly greasy.

We also got a veggie pasty and all I will say is that they taste like a funeral cheesy potato casserole in an undercooked crust.

Whew, it's a lot, I know. But I thought you'd like to know what you will be getting for your 12+ bucks. FWIW, we did not try the cookies. They may be awesome! But, we will not be going back nor can we recommend.

Oh, and you want a pretty good pasty, not to mention one that costs under $6, stop at Jack's grocery store in Manistique. A great value for your money!

I have had pasties a few times in Michigan.. this was probably the smallest and most bland I have tried.. if they had been the first I had tried I probably would not have sought out others.
