The Hook Lakeside Grill

We wanted to celebrate our wedding anniversary at a nice seafood restaurant. The meal experience was fine, but the server was not overly pleasant. Watched all the other servers smiling, but not ours. He did not stop at our table except to take our order and deliver our meals. No checking to see if we needed/ wanted anything else, no dessert order....I went to the bar myself to refresh my ginger ale, since the waiter couldn't be bothered....a very disappointing anniversary meal.

Had dinner Friday night at a very busy time and still felt so well taken care of. Our server started us off, but when he stepped away the manager brought out our appetizer, refilled waters, and even gave us great recommendations about the area. She was so friendly and welcoming…we even tried to tip her 50bill, but she wouldn’t accept it!! If you’re reading this, thank you! You truly made us feel welcome and made our night, your staff can definitely learn from your warmth and service!

Great views and absolutely top-notch food! Highly recommend the Cajun whitefish it was delicious. During dinner we couldn’t help but laugh when a couple next to us complained about fish having bones and wings being fried (why do some people even go out? 😂). Our server Kemir was fantastic super friendly and funny, which made the experience even better.

It felt like steak was not fresh and cooked plane and no taste to it. Very blend taste.

Got treated horribly by the bartender the moment we sat at the bar. Told us to leave if we didn’t like her shitty attitude. Never will go back.

Not cool, at ALL. we walked in as a four top, the restaurant had maybe a handful of tables, not busy at all. it was around noon. The girl with dark curls walked towards us. maybe the host, and said to the bartender "you want to take them?" with a her face in a I-dont-want-them-either look. bartender says no. we ask for a window seat and she refused to seat us where wanted. instead tried to seat us on top of another table with an empty section. it's giving pretty woman. 3 woman who were ALL servers, we tip near 30%, but never got the chance. it was so awkward. we were so uncomfortable that we didn't even order drinks. I was a server, yes I'd Kiki or say things WHERE CUSTOMERS CANT HEAR, but roll your eyes in the kitchen please. it was such a cute bar, super disappointed to feel judged the second walk in.

Servers were arrogant and condescending

Very disappointed. Very cute atmosphere but we couldn’t even stay to find out about the food because as soon as we walked in (the restaurant had 3 tables and every other one empty) the bartender and the host looked at eachother with eye rolls and asked eachother if they wanted to take our table. Clearly neither did. My mother is in a walker and we requested the right side of the bar but apparently the bartender did not want to serve us so we had to walk down the stairs and asked if we could be seated more privately and the lady was very rude and was confused why we didn’t want to sit directly next to another group. There were THREE tables full and about 25 empty. She said “private????” Like girl yes. Anyhow we left after the attitude! Cute restaurant tho!

Love the cocktail & food menu. The bartenders friendliness is less than desired. This is my third visit here, and for whatever reason, the bartenders or not thrilled to wait on people. Not sure, what is going on with the lack of friendly service. Thankfully, the food and cocktail menu makes up for this. I'm not sure I would go out of my way to come back.

Nothing about this place was bad. The only thing great was our server. The food was okay, but NOT worth the price. Don’t recommend.
