I love the new decor, the atmosphere is very warm, open and welcoming! The service has gotten so much better after we stopped coming to Leo's over two years ago when the service was ridiculously slow, the waitresses all stood around the cash register talking about their boyfriends and school and football games and so on while the customers sat waiting for service and even coffee refills. We were seated in pretty much an empty restaurant that should have been our first clue. Table was covered in grease, so when the waitress came over, they suggested we just change tables. We moved to another table, it was not greasy but had salt all over the table like it had never been wiped after the last family and both the salt and pepper shakers were all crusty with hardened food on them.
