I scheduled a Celebration of Life event on Wednesday afternoon July 13th, reserving one of the 2 private rooms that are available for gatherings. I gave a $100 deposit which was later subtracted from the total bill.. so there was no charge for the room. We had my cousin’s wedding shower here yesterday and the service was more than I have experienced in past events that I’ve hosted. I was incredibly impressed with how well Clint and his partner made sure the entire shower was perfect for my cousin and her mom (who hosted the event) I host a lot of events and fundraisers and hope to have these two servers to work with in the future. Thank you for helping to make yesterday so special and truly so easy.
I highly recommend the Aspen Restaurant in Macomb Twp. We initially booked our wedding reception there in their Campfire Banquet Room. Jackie was our coordinator and really did a fabulous job explaining what the venue offers and how best to set up the room for our party. We even had a special menu request and she went above and beyond to ensure we got our Faygo Floats served with our wedding cake. Aspen Restaurant ~ Bar ~ Banquets ~ Catering offers quick, friendly service and decent enough good. The restaurant has an old-school ski lodge vibe, especially during the Holidays with a true log cabin and winter scenes everywhere. The food is really tasty, with hot dishes like shrimp scampi and loaded tater tots. The Chicken Schnitzle is the best found in the U.S., tender inside and crispy outside. The mushroom soup was amazing. The Bayview room was absolutely perfect for an engagement party of 30, with wonderful planning help from Cristina, Jackie, and Donna. Brenda was a wonderful server who stayed on top of everything. Donna also checked on guests, noticing when napkins were needed. The place is very accommodating, locally owned and operated. Multiple appetizers shared between three people still left leftovers to take home.
