Finally a good Ramen place around Troy. Tried their Tonkotsu Ramen which was delicious, can request spicy chilli sauce on side if needed, will definitely come back to try other items.

They're known for udon,Ramen and pho options but it's the shareables that I cant move away from: karage chicken, tuna dip and street fries. There's casual sit down dining and picnic tables outside

Went to ima to get a quick bite with my daughter. A redhead sat us outside but then never came back to the table the rest of the time we sat there. Ordered thru the QR code and had to ask the food runner for water, share plates and a fork. Asked the said “server” for a box after paying online and she never came back with a box. Had to go inside and ask a different server for a box. I’m not sure what her name is but it sure as hell wasn’t that busy to where she couldn’t drop waters or even ask how dinner was. Might as well have ordered take out if I was gonna serve myself.

Really great quality ramen that looks just as good as it tastes. Bit too expensive to make it more than a great once in a while visit.

Order yaki butter udon chicken take out and the food taste plain broth and water no flavor.
this review is a long time coming. why? well you already know the food is great from the other reviews. I want to tell you about the service.
we come here a lot for lunch and there's always this guy (I think his name is Marshall) who's in a super good mood and treats the customers like royalty. like for example someone spilled a glass of water last time we came in and he was absolutely vigilant and making sure it got cleaned up immediately and was totally dry so no one would slip. he could have just mopped it up and left it but he took it to the next level immature it was perfect. he's got a pretty hefty laugh as well that lights up the whole place, haha.
fast forward to tonight, where we broke from our normal schedule and came at night. completely different staff yet we saw all the same things. Josi was similarly super happy and treated us literally like family. the kids looked a little bored at some point and she told them about a game to play watching the cars drive by and trying to find each color from the rainbow. and then all the other fundamentals of service were absolutely perfect from her too. just incredible.
but beyond these two individuals: it suddenly started pouring rain and a couple of the staff had to run out and pull in a bunch of place settings from outside tables and you can see them all cover for each other at their tables while this was happening.
I could go on but this place is just dripping with teamwork and is so exceptionally well run. amazing amazing amazing.

Allllright, this place is prettty good! Me likey.
Lots of yummy Japanese food and plenty of vegan options make me happy. They have this Spicy Karaage Tofu ramen that’s not on the menu that is sooooo good. I’ve gotten it twice and honestly the first time was a bit better. It was so spicy it put me in that spice trance. But the second time was good too, don’t get me wrong!
Also, my service was incredible! Just impeccable. And it was from two different people! One was this nice lady with cool star eyeliner and the other is this dude with long hair. They are truly masters and magical creatures, I love them.
Okay… the drawbacks (starts sweating). The atmosphere is whatever. No big deal. The big drawback to me is the price. Gad-dang it is expensive. Expensive as in, eat here 2-3 times a year. If they dropped some of the food a few bucks I could see me eating here every week or at least every month. I mean my favorite thing is ramen… we’re talking noodles and broth with some extra vittles for about $20???
Summary: I LOVE IT… but it’s too expensive (cry).

The food was good on average, but service wasn't very good even though they weren't busy.

Food is always great. Marshall stands out as truly the best server I've ever encountered. Always super friendly, attentive, and personal. Love seeing him every time I come in to eat!

Way over priced for what you get. I got two spicy tori Ramen with beef and another dry noodles dish I can't remember now. But one of the dishes was $22 and the other was $17. The one with broth was about 3/4 broth a small amount of noodles, a couple mushrooms, about 6 jalapeños and thats about it. The other one was probably less than a packet of Ramen like noodles a couoke tables spoons of small cut cubed beef and a small piece of seaweed. It must have coast about 50 Cents to make. I could have made any of this at my home foe about $3 or $4 at my home. Other than the broth, which was extremely spicy but did have some good undertone flavors there was nothing that I would ever crave. My wife is Asian and we couldn't believe it. One thing I noticed that there were not other Asians in the restaurant which is a good indicator about the quality and value of the food. Seemed like there was inengirl running around taking care ifnthenfeont if the house and i also saw her taking orders at tables. She was sweet, helpful, busy, and efficient. While I was waiting I looked for anyone else in the house and all I saw was a girl handing her the carry out. The area has so many excellent Asian foods that are far better and actually give you whatnyou pay for I would never go back here. If you want to know where to go, then go where you see other of that demographic going. I would have probably given it another chance if they either gave you larger portions or the flavor was there. But not here.
