We loved this place. Coffee was great and the breakfast was perfect portion sized. Service was excellent! We'll definitely come back!

Terrible customer service and average to below average food and drinks for a breakfast spot, leading to an overall terrible way to start the day. A worker behind the counter, not the one taking my order who had already seen my service dog, but someone standing behind her questioned the validity of my service dog being in their establishment even though he had on his service vest where it stated everything clearly. This person then went on a mumbling rant about perhaps either her bad experience with bringing her own service dog to places or other people pretending like they had service dogs coming in, I couldn't tell, but regardless it didn't work in excusing or explaining away her skeptical and demanding attitude towards my service dog and me. It left a really bad taste in my mouth that could not be washed out by the unremarkable, watered down drinks or food that tasted like it had been purchased at a grocery store and just reheated a bit. Harsh words, I know, but I came here at the end of the summer last year and it left a lasting, poor impact on me even to this day, which can further be emphasized by the fact that I took absolutely no photos here because we couldn't get out of here fast enough after feeling extremely unwelcome.

Paninis and soups are delicious. Always great service. Best muffins on the planet.

Cute little coffee shop. Great breakfast sandwiches to grab and go or sit and take a minute to eat.

Been a customer since they opened, always supporting local business when we visit from Texas, usually 1-2 times/yr. We have family locally. Never met the owner, but we waited 25 mins for our sandwiches before I asked if they'd be ready soon. Owner unapologetically told me they missed our ticket. It was closing time, after 2pm. During our 25 min wait, a small child was in and out of the kitchen consistently coughing loudly. I expressed concern to an employee who came out of the kitchen. Next, the owner angrily approached our table slapping $42 cash of the $55 we spent, saying this was for all but the 3 lemonades and to get out of her business (I guess she overlooked the tip I included). "Goodys has been here 20 years and we don't need you as a customer, " she yelled. We couldn't believe her behavior, got up and exited, but she came after us, telling us her child in the kitchen isn't sick and she was so angry she was spitting- she spit on my 11 yr old daughter. She came out of the cafe, yelling at us on the sidewalk. She told us to take our snobbery somewhere else. After we left, my son told me that when it was his turn to order, she said "hurry up" under her breath. My 3 kids and I were just shaking from disbelief. We had lost our appetites. She made us feel SO unwelcome. We did make it down River St to support some businesses, all of which made us feel welcome. We are a kind, respectful, thankful family, and I, especially, find it important to let the community know of this incident. Behavior like this will run off the visitors. My family has been around here since the 1950s, and I have come here regularly since 1977. Please keep it welcoming!

Was looking for a coffee shop with good reviews and this was the first place that popped up. With over 300 reviews I decided that this was had to be the place that I needed to go. I got my wife a hazelnut coffee and she said it was very very good! The staff was very friendly and the atmosphere is very nice inside! Definitely when we come back through this will be the coffee shop we will stop at again!

Very good place for a coffee and small breakfast sandwich. I would recommend the breakfast panini and the raspberry muffin.

Great little spot for lunch. Asparagus and cheese panini is not only adorable to look at and tastes delightful. Great spot with outdoor seating.Coffee options plentiful with a good choice of sugar free syrups.

Goodys is my favorite place to go when I visit Manistee! I try something new every time I am here and I’m never disappointed, everything tastes delicious. The staff is wonderful and very attentive and most of the time go above and beyond to make sure their guests are happy. I cannot recommend this coffee shop enough!!

This place is great. The couple that owns this place were funny and gave great customer service. The rest of the staff was friendly and delivered food and drinks with a smile. Cinnamon rolls were made fresh and delicious. The icing was fluffy but a little on the sweet side. The only draw back is a line can develop as they only have one espresso machine and orders can back up. Place your order, sit down, relax, and enjoy the people watching. After all, you're in Manistee, not Seattle and this is not starbucks

Delicious food! (Bacon, chicken wraps, chicken dumpling soup, and lattes) Gracious servers that go the extra ten miles! Left my purse outside at a table! Lana called my library in West Bend, W i to have them contact me! No phone # in my purse. Lana sent my purse to my home as I had already boarded a boat for home.

The coffee was very, very good and the food was excellent. Prices are competitive with other coffee shops I've been to. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable. It took us a while to get our food but we didn't feel it was unreasonable for the amount of people that were in there.

The composition of the dishes was very nice, but the execution was off. While the bread was good and the food was not greasy, the flavor was absent. The asparagus turkey melt was missing one of its components: the honey mustard. The tuna melt tasted like a can of tuna with nothing added. It was blah. We choked it down to fill a void. The dark roast coffee didn’t seem to be dark roast. I am glad I only bought the small. It’s in a beautiful building but the building deserves better.

We have a cabin in Manistee so I have been coming here for years. Consistency is key and Goodys is ALWAYS consistent. I mostly come for coffee beverages but the food is also good. They're usually always busy so it may seem like they're slow but really they just get a lot of orders at once. And it's well worth the wait! Highly recommend if you're in the area.
