For the first time ever the food was bad. The bar was understaffed and the dinner crowd was large. Our server couldn’t keep up and no other staff to back her up. Our table of five were served warm (at best) meals, fries were re-made but by then we had finished the entrees which were not hot as well. Had to ask for the side salad that came with meal, then were charged for requesting ranch instead of Italian dressing. Such a disappointment, this place usually hits the spot.

One of my favorite bar restaurants in the area. It is one of the few places you can still get real boasted chicken in Michigan. They even have boasted fish. Both are incredibly delicious. But they have many other stand outs on the menu. The staff is always friendly and accommodating. The atmosphere is incredible, they have a 1800s Brunswick bar that is worth the visit alone. I stop here every time I come through town.

We arrived with our baby, and the restaurant was packed. Heather noticed us immediately and greeted us with a smile. She got us a table and gave us prompt friendly service! ♥️ A great experience and all of the decorations are very cool!

My son and I were in recently for the first time while visiting the area. The atmosphere was spot on. We we both had the pepper jack crab soup and thought it was absolutely awesome! I had the English fish and chips and my son had a fried bluegill and both generous were absolutely delicious. We thought our server took good care of us considering it was a busy time of the evening. We will definitely be back!

We came in, sat down, ordered a chicken dinner and a cheeseburger. Two other tables sat down after us, ordered their food, receive their food and were finished eating their food. We were still waiting. Kept asking about our food to the waitress. She said it was coming. Another table sat down a half hour after we ordered, the waitress walked out after we waited an hour with a chicken dinner and we were still waiting for ours.
We left!!! There was no explanation to us from the manager as to why our food took so long and we never received it! We don’t plan on going back very soon☹️😠

My husband and I were disappointed twice during the same visit. We were served our appetizer along with our meal. That is a huge no for us. We want to enjoy our appetizer then our meal. We were disturbed to overhear the owner answer the phone by saying I can't hear a single word you are saying, we are busy, don't call back and hung up. There are too many restaurants in Manistee to patronize this one again.
