Solid place to get a meal! Love the atmosphere and the variety of food choices. They do a fair job at ensuring the menu online is as up to date as possible. Got the Uno Burger and was pleasantly impressed. The outside of the patty was burned to a crisp (a little more than my liking for a smash burger) however, when I got to the middle, it was absolutely mouthwatering. The location unfortunately is somewhat "out of sight out of mind" however, they're doing phenomenal at marketing and announcing they're here! Love the community engagement! :)

The food was great when they first opened...but I think they changed the chicken and fries, and I wasn't a big fan of either on my 4th visit. The fries have that sweet seasoning on them that I just don't particularly like. Our third visit we ordered and waited over 30 minutes for our food before they came to inform us that they were out of chicken strips...and the rest of our order was wrong. We ended up getting a full refund and had to go somewhere else after waiting 45 minutes there. I loved the food the previous 2 visits, so I decided to try it a 4th time. The burger patty is extremely thin, I didn't even taste it, it's all bun. It was also topped incorrectly this time as well.Very limited burger toppings - no pickles? Bacon? Onions? The onion rings were decent. Everything was very over-priced, more expensive than other nearby sit down burger restaurants. The staff is always super nice and friendly though! Love the environment and the way everything is set up. Disappointed that the food quality doesn't match the environment or pricing.

It's kinda like a really nice indoor snack bar. The menu is a step-up from what you might find at the local beach snack bars, but not too far off. The price was OK, vegetarian options are plentiful, and they make an attempt to have an interesting menu. I ate lunch here in the 'offeason' so it was dead, just some local construction workers grabbing a burger. I'd imagine it peps-up pretty good in the summer. The theme is a little weird, but I still hope they make it since it's at least something different. Plenty of pinball machines, which is a nice addition as well. Hopefully they'll stick around during the offseasons and thrive during summer.

Spent two nights in Manistee and went here both nights. If you're looking for a cheaper quick option this place is great. The food all seemed fresh and the guy who took my order was nice.

Disorganized. Messed up Orders. Appears understaffed in kitchen. 30 minute wait for hotdog and fries. Outside staff were trying best but when incomplete and wrong orders come out not much they can do. Rather than people standing waiting for the wait staff match up orders with customers, they should call out order numbers.

The "fab" olive burger is a burger to remember. Ever since i had one a week ago i've been craving another one. Too bad I don't live in the area. Very flavorful, nice crisp on the edge of the smash burger, perfect bun and the olive spread was a perfect compliment. Fries were great too. The atmosphere is also great -- nice open indoor space, plus a huge patio, friendly staff, just an overall fun vibe. Oh and they have a room full of excellent pinball machines. I'll def be back

The Outsider is the go-to spot in Manistee when you're hankering for some seriously good burgers and chicken sliders. But they also kick things up a notch with live music, activities, and some nostalgic arcade and pinball machines to transport you back in time. Plus, they've got picnic materials for those park outings. It's the perfect combo of great food and fun.Kid-friendliness: My daughters loved the games and the live music even catered to the kids with what they playedWheelchair accessibility: Accessible

I was surprised by the simplicity of the menu. But they have chosen their niche and they exceeded expectations. The burger I ate was extremely well prepared. Very juicy, the greens were fresh as were the onions. They even take it a step further by providing compostable bamboo plates. Which is awesome to see not plastic being wasted. I would recommend changing the signage on the trash, because people seem confused where the plates go.

This was our third attempt to dine. The first time they ran out of burgers and the second time they were closed. On a September Friday night at 6pm and we walked right up to order. Counter worker was helpful. Menu has changed, no falafel and no more make to order salads. Four burger choices and their menu is now a larger font making it easier to read (great change!!). My husband and I both ordered The Outsider Meal which comes with one side and drink - $32. We both tried different flavored tea - all unique and delicious. I headed to play pinball - some games $1 & others 75 cents. Fun! Even though there were only two couples ahead of us, the worker tried to give me the food - I found the correct patrons. Same happened the next time until it was actually our food. It sounded like orders were assigned a number but none were called. Confusing. We went outside to dine - a beautiful night. While the burgers were perfectly cooked, they were overly salty. Neither of us finished the meal. It's a really neat concept - grab food and enjoy the outdoors. Overall I'd say 3.5 stars so I'm rounding up. Hoping this small business works out the kinks and does well.

Exactly what Manistee needed! Cornhole, great food, and everything you would need supply wise for a nice walk on the boardwalk or a walk to the beach. It’s definitely not just a place to eat but a place to start to explore Manistee. Outsides obviously knew what they were doing for people who visit and the community with local discounts and local products!
