TJ's is a really cool hidden gem in Manistee. We went there after a bad experience at the Golden Stag. We were seated promptly, the food came out fast, was delicious, and very reasonably priced! Everyone we interacted with gave great service and we're looking forward to coming back.
Definitely try the meatballs and we were pleasantly surprised the kid's chicken dippers were baked instead of fried. Our daughter loved them! Thanks for a great dinner tonight!

We were in Manistee on a mini getaway visiting family. They took us here for dinner on a Friday night and I love the atmosphere, food and our waitress was great. We didn’t have to wait for a table it’s has a lot of seating indoors. Would definitely go back again.
We have always had excellent food and service here and always suggest this restaurant to others, until today. We walked in asking for a 6 top and they tried to seat us at a 4 top, claiming that they seat 8 there, no way. They had 5 open tables but refused to let us have 2 tables for us 6. The 2 girls we talked with were rude and openly talking about us in front of us. We left.

A big huge no! How did this get a 4.0 rating. The dinners we ordered, despite a regal looking menu, we’re about one step above Stouffers frozen meals. The Mac and cheese was tasteless, I can make better meatballs and the chicken Alfredo was like a frozen lackluster flavor meal. For the price most restaurants also give you double the serving size. Very stingy here. Instead they fill the plate with a dry baguette and no butter. Seems like a seriously failing old pub, hotel, which is sad.
