Old school Big Boy decor,but it was charming. The food on the buffet was hot and kept fresh consistently throughout our visit. Great service. Plus a view of Lake Michigan!

I came in with my family and only 2 meals were eaten - one being a buffet. Two of us ordered eggs that were freezing cold, the toast was burnt black, the biscuits for the biscuits and gravy were microwaved (we watched them do it) one order sat on the counter for 10 minutes getting cold, my sons chicken tender plate must have been under a light or something because it was so hot it almost burned him, and my order of the chicken parm sandwhich was ALL breading no chicken. When I went to tell the staff of this they were incredibly kind which I very much appreciate, but after bringing us our food our waitress never once returned to ask how our food was, if we needed a refill, anything. I will never come back to this restaurant.

Very consistently good food. We had the soup and salad bar, tried all 4 soups and they were really good. I ordered "the best cheeseburger" and it was tasty, but I like the original Big Boy butger better because you can taste the actual burger more. And I LOVE the fries, crispy fluffy deliciousness ?

If I could I would give this place 1 million stars, when I got in this waitress was so nice. We got seated she said look at these 3 handsome boys (I was with my brothers). We ordered then got our food then ate. We were paying then out of nowhere she gave us a free cookie!? This was pretty typical of the food choices and quality of small chain restaurants, good but pretty average. I will say one thing in particular, their iced tea was terrible, it tasted like it had been on hand for a week or two, it had an odd sour/musty-old taste. It was so bad that I had to order a different drink.
