Absolutely fresh ingredients, there's elements of tex-mex in the presentation with readily available ingredients up North, leading to a solid base for the food - a few additions of seasoning would elevate the dishes to a 5 star as the basic ingredients are all fresh and well prepared. The ground beef could use a kick with chilli powder, cumin, and some brightness with either lime or lemon, and if you can get your hands on cilantro the salsa and guacamole would also benefit...
My husband and I stumbled upon Emerald City Taco yesterday and decided to give it a try. We both had the Deluxe burrito. He had queso on his which he said was very good. We both totally enjoyed our burritos but could easily have shared one! Service was very quick and friendly. If you don't care for raw onions just ask them not to put any on. We absolutely would, and will, go back!
I’ve spent a lot of my life on the Mexican border so I know a little about the food. This place is great!! Atmosphere. Service. Food. All good. Too bad the idiots in the area can’t get their head wrapped around chorizo it would make the place that much better. She quit serving it because the Trump puppets wouldn’t eat it.
