Flatiron had just opened back up after a few months closure. You wouldn’t have known it, the staff were friendly, the beer fresh and the food excellent. We had a blueberry beer, a hazy and a porter. All very tasty.
There was a small, two person band playing rock music that made the evening special.
As others say, it’s a little gem in Manistique,

We had a birthday party event at the FlatIron I can not praise or thank them enough! EVERYTHING was perfect! Food was exceptional, the staff was so accommodating! Each of our guest gave the FlatIron a 5 star rating! If you are thinking of a place to hold your special event please consider the FlatIron! The event Coordinator Karen is truly a professional. Karen made sure everything ran smoothly and she was there with us 100% of the time! She and the staff are the best hands down! Manistique truly has a gem! Thank you FlatIron for making our event so special!

Flatiron Brewing is a hidden gem in Manistique!

A neat little brewery tucked just off the road with a large, free parking lot and a relaxed, welcoming vibe. Whether you sit inside or out, the atmosphere is laid-back and friendly, perfect place to rest during your travels or cozy in and stay awhile.

The staff we encountered were fantastic- fun, attentive, upbeat, and always ready to offer samples and recs. The beers are solid across the board, with something to please every palate, from light and crisp to bold and hoppy. There’s also plenty to keep everyone entertained, making it a great stop for both adults and kids alike.

If you’re passing through Manistique, Flatiron Brewing is definitely worth the visit — good beer, great people, and easygoing fun all around.

We really enjoyed our visit here! The staff was really friendly and helpful. The pizza was fabulous. (All About Mushrooms was to die for!) The beer was some of the best we've had in the UP and we've been tasting beer up here since 1997. Very eco conscious using pressed paper plates, would love to see them add bamboo utensils instead of plastic. Also would love the addition of the breadsticks with butter and cinnamon sugar as a sweet option (we call them Yooper Churros at our house). We will definitely be back next season! Thanks for the great meal!

Flatiron Brewing is the place to be in the UP! 🍺 Right by the water, it’s the perfect spot to kick back, enjoy the view, and sip on something amazing. The vibes are relaxed, the staff is awesome, and the drinks hit the spot every time. Whether you’re into craft beer, seltzers, wine, or even mimosas, they’ve got you covered. Such a fun place to hang with friends and try something new. Definitely a must-stop in Manistique! 🙌

I’m normally not a fan of Detroit style pizza, but the pizza at Flatiron was absolutely delicious. The beers are great as well, especially the cherry cider. I prefer stouts or porters, but decided to give the cherry cider a try; crisp, tart with just a hint of sweetness, and the cherry didn’t overpower the experience. I just wished I would have filled my growlers with it. That’s something to look forward to the next time we stop in Manistique.

My husband and I loved this place! Really like how they handle servicing food and drinks - very efficient. Wish more places would follow their model. Food was AMAZING as was their cherry cider. Hopefully they will have it available in growlers the next time we visit. We WILL be back!

We used to camp next door, was a warehouse then. Great beer, O'fest was tasty as was the blueberry tart. Pizza was good as well. Even has an arcade upstairs.

We came here from Iowa.
We stopped at Kitch-iti-kipi and met a nice couple who told us her son was an investor here and recommend it.

We thought it would be another mediocre brewery. We were wrong. Our opinion is it might be the best in the U.P.

It's clean, including the restroom. Pizza is good. Beer is great.

Detroit style pizza. Good enough. Not a big fan of self serve. Not much interaction with staff so it felt kind of sanitary. Not much in the atmosphere category.
