Fresh fish depending on season! I've had their salmon, trout, whitefish, burbot, and some others. All excellent with no complaints. Don't be put off by the no-frills interior! Prices are very reasonable for the freshness as well as a friendly local feel!

We try to get their smoked fish before they run out every time we come up to camp at Jack Pine Lodge.

We stopped Tuesday but no smoked fish as they didn't go out that day. The very pleasant woman at the counter told us to come back Wednesday around 1:00pm. Said smoked trout, which is what we wanted, would be out of the smoker by then. Got there at 1:15 and she just brought out a pan full of fresh caught, fresh smoked trout so hot the young man bagging said it burn his hands.needless to day the trout was excellent. Keep in mind this is not a package house so you get your order in plastic wrap or in a paper sack. But for the quality and freshness I'd have carried it out in my hands! Definitely check them out, just west of Manistique.
