Had dinner there for my birthday with my partner, ordered the roast beef plate for both of us, didn't request extra gravy, couldn't see any of the food for all the gravy, the meat tasted funny but my partner didn't want to be mean so he wouldn't let me say anything to the waitress about since she was the only one working besides the cook, we both got sick that night and was diagnosed with food poisoning, the waitress acted like she was strung out on meth. I am not going back it was my one and only time going there. U would think that a roast beef plate that cost almost 16 bucks each wouldn't give u severe food poisoning, I have had really bad diarrhea and vomiting for the last several days thanks to this place. Horrible experience and it ruined my birthday. And I kept my jacket on the whole time because this place is very cold inside. Other customers were complaining about the cold as well. Very disappointing.

Vegetarian options: The salad bar is very small and the quality of the food sucked

My husband & I had the broasted chicken w/mashed potatoes & our son had the southern omelet. We would rate this place 8/10; the food was delicious!! We live in Moran & will definitely be back :)

Broasted chicken was absolutely scrumptious. Husband got a big Wilbur burger. He said it would be a fire ssa burger if the pulled pork wasn't cold. But he ate it regardless and was satisfied... The couple we were with got the pulled pork nachos and the fish and chips... His nachos were cold. He sent them back and was told it would b a new plate. Came back and pulled pork was still cold. We had traveled for about 12 hours by this point and only had snacks. So we were super hungry so yes he ate it just like my husband did. If the meat is cold fix whatever it's in that's supposed to keep it hot because obviously it isn't working

I looked this place up and thought we probably should give it a try. Well I'm sure Glad we did. The menu was a basic menu. Omelets, eggs toast etc. I had the southern sausage omelette others had the grilled breakfast sandwich. It was fantastic. Everything was good. The toast was good. The ammo was good. The hash browns was excellent. Coffee was good. Service was outstanding. I definitely would recommend this place while visiting Manistique. Not sure how their dinner is, but if you want a good home style cooking breakfast, this is the place to go. EDIT we stopped by for lunch today and I had a hot hamburger sandwich and others had a grilled cheese and tomato soup. Both were delicious and we are coming back soon.

Food was so good. We came here twice in 2 days. Breakfast one day and lunch the next. The service was excellent. Everyone was very friendly. We had an excellent breakfast the first morning and came back for lunch. The grilled cheese and tomato soup was spot on!!.

Easy to see why they have great reviews. Visited for lunch on a weekday, but was able to order breakfast and was really pleased with the quality and portions. French toast was the highlight, although they could step up their syrup game. Everything was cooked as requested and tasted great, would absolutely stop again. Inside was clean too.

Food was very good. The atmosphere was "diner/dive" which is expected and comfortable. Tho the food was great, the plates were too small to fit everything, and the amount of potatoes with their "big breakfast" was less than half a handful. The price was the most I've ever paid for "breakfast for 2" in any restaurant whether "classy" or dive..... $33. I wouldn't go back because of the price and the quantity of American fries. You can get equivalent anywhere for much less. But the food was very good.
