First time. Love this place. Beer was great and the pours were big. There is a roof top that people were on with snow because the sun was out. Definitely going back.
Great vibe in the brewery with some fun food options outside. You can also order in which is nice.
Fantastic beer and really good atmosphere! We ended up going to Blackrocks twice during our visit. The beer is really great, especially if you are a beer enthusiast. Will definitely be making a stop again when we come back!
One of my favorite breweries
Always a great experience visiting Blackrocks. Excellent beer, great atmosphere, friendly staff.
I we checked google, the website, and even the events calendar posted on the website. walked 15 minutes in the bitter cold, showed up, and the place was closed with a note on the door for a private party. come on now, why waste our time like that? if you're gonna post a calendar why not just put that you're closed on there??
My favorite brewery in all of Michigan - we stop here literally every time we're in Marquette
My favorite brewery and gathering place in the Yoop! They’ve been a Marquette staple for over a decade!

Disappointing Experience for Gluten-Free Visitors – Beautiful Space, But Not Inclusive
I recently visited Blackrocks Brewery and while the space itself is truly beautiful — especially the outdoor patio, which is clearly designed with thought and care — I was extremely disappointed by their lack of consideration for people with dietary restrictions, specifically those of us with gluten allergies.
As someone with EOE, an autoimmune condition that requires me to be completely gluten-free, I was disheartened to find that Blackrocks offers zero gluten-free drink options. Not even a cider, seltzer, or wine. I asked the bartender if there were any alternatives, and was met with a very curt response: “We make beer only.” The tone was dismissive and felt unnecessarily rude, as if the question was an inconvenience.
It’s 2025 — gluten allergies and Celiac disease are incredibly common. Most breweries today offer at least one gluten-free option, understanding that not everyone can drink beer. A single cider, seltzer, or wine would’ve made all the difference. Instead, I felt excluded and unwelcome.
If you have a gluten allergy or intolerance, I’d recommend skipping Blackrocks and going to Ore Dock; No matter how lovely the ambiance is at Blackrocks.
A thoughtful space deserves thoughtful drink options, and unfortunately, Blackrocks falls short in that regard.
Good beer
Easy flow lay with nice back deck and front sun deck
Game was on for those who needed that
Nice atmosphere and good beer!
We were heading to Black Rocks brewery. No Dogs. Not even outside area. Off to another brewery to feel our Black Rocks growlers. We are from our off town. Can't believe no dogs outside. They have great beer. But I have my little dog.
Great spot with inside and outside seating. Live band tonight was perfect for a Thursday night.
