The one light beer I tried was tasty and the live music on the weekend was entertaining. Very large place with multiple different places to hang out at. I recommend.
One of the best brewpubs in the area and it just keeps getting better. There are now two bars offering many taps. There is more outdoor seating on both sides of the old houses.
Blackrocks rotates their beers often so that there is always something different to try. They provide many options that should satisfy any taste.
Highly recommend Blackrocks!
Stopped in on a Friday afternoon. Beer was good (Honey Lav American Wheat). They have really cool merchandise, as well. Got a bite to eat from the food truck, which was French-themed. Ordered a croque monsieur, which was different albeit tasty, and a Moroccan soup that was light on flavor but not bad.
Real cool and chill place. Plus the beer is great.
Cool brewery in downtown Marquette!
Easily the best brewery in the yoop.
Editing years later: they've gotten very complacent. Everything is starting to taste the same. Generic beers with $100 sweatpants on the side. The beer tastes fine, just uninteresting. Have invested so much into making it a concert space and nothing into barrel aging, mixed ferm, etc. Kognisjon is now what Blackrocks used to be. Small batches of really interesting styles.
Neil is the man!!!
My go to brewery when I am in Marquette. The beer is great and the choices to sit outside in the summer or fall are awesome. Great place to relax with friends and check the live music schedule because they often have bands in the evening. Can’t wait to taste the pub/small batch brews they will have this summer with the new brewing equipment that was part of the latest renovation. A must stop if you love craft beer! If you want to make a meal out of it check the burger food truck schedule that parks outside certain days of the week.
Best beer in the U.P and they just got Bigger!!!
Come here if you’re having a bad day

One of the better breweries I’ve been to. Good beer, staff was friendly, great prices and atmosphere. Can’t wait to come back next year!
It's quite simple. Best brewery in the U.P. in the best city in the U.P.
Best bar in Marquette! The beers are amazing, and the atmosphere is even better. We never visit town without a stop here.
We spent two separate evenings here and had a blast both nights! On Saturday they had live music and the band was amazing! The brewery doesn’t have their own food, but there are rotating food trucks.
The patio is not dog friendly as a heads up. We were thinking of brining ours but thankfully didn’t.
Highly recommend their raspberry beer!
This place has changed so much in the last 5 or so years and not for the better. No dogs allowed anymore. The small local feel of it is completely gone.
