The new owner (Sean) has studied and perfected the "art" in culinary arts. Presentation was top notch and the flavors were creative and delicious! You will not be disappointed in the experience!”

“Love love love the atmosphere, staff were so pleasant and kind. The appetizers were INCREDIBLE, highly recommend the cheese curds. Changed my life. Ascended. The filet mignon was a touch disappointing, served medium well when I asked for medium rare; but I think that can be accounted to by the fact that we were here pretty close to closing. Loved their mocktails, especially the Grateful Dead. Creme Brulee was pretty solid.”

“I cannot lie: This was one of the most amazing places I have ever been to. There aren't too many Cajun food options up by the western side of the U.P., but I will admit that the Lagniappe Cajun Creole Eatery is definitely one of the most authentic Cajun restaurants I have visited. I never had a chance to eat catfish or crawfish before, but I got a chance to try it here and it was delicious. Not too much heat for those of us who can't tolerate too much spice, but definitely not bland either. The flavors all meshed together well and the sauces they had to go with their seafood dish was a perfect medley. For dessert, my mom and I ordered their orange liqueur creme brulee and it was so delicious. Creme brulee is another food I have never tried before and I'm glad I got the chance to do so at the eatery. It was so light and creamy and the drizzle was beautifully done on top. I will admit there was a slight notice of alcohol in the creme itself, but it was subtle enough to keep a person sober. If you feel the need for that option, I recommend their alcoholic dessert that is more for the adults. My drink of choice was the Abita Root Beer and it was most likely the best root beer I've ever tasted in my entire life. I'm not too much of a fan of pure cane sugar in a drink because I believe it simply makes the soda too sweet. That said, the Louisiana cane sugar within the root beer was the perfect amount of subtle to withstand and so smooth to the taste buds.Overall, I would give the Lagniappe Cajun Creole Eatery a high score of 9.5 out of 10.”

“Dog friendly like most places in Marquette which is a big draw. The beer is good, not great. If you like dark, heavy beer even in the summer then this is the place for you. They are open later than most establishments in Marquette. I'll never complain about having one dark beer at dusk. Personally, I prefer a more refreshing IPA in the summer which is when we like to visit. Selection could be better.”

“Having visited Barrel and Beam many times, I always recommend it to anyone in the Marquette area. It is such a warm and welcoming space. Whether you stop in for one drink or want to spend the entire day, it's perfect. We love this place so much that my wife and I recently held our wedding reception here, which was a small gathering of a few of our closest friends. The entire Barrel and Beam crew was exceptional to work with; the ambiance was amazing, the drinks were fantastic, and head chef Alex curated a delicious menu that suited us perfectly. “Great and greater beers, super friendly and comfortable atmosphere. It's one the few coop breweries anywhere. Drifa is maybe slightly off the beaten path but always worth the visit. Spencer has created a library of beers which are great examples of classic styles. Food truck most nights or bring your own. Oh yeah, your dog is just as welcome as you are though dog must be leashed. Take a turn away from the center and visit Drifa. I am always happy I did!”

“We have enjoyed several meals at Elizabeth's in the past. It is a wonderful dining experience. Recently we dined with relatives, on our way to a local event, so time was an issue. My wife and I shared the Ultimate Seafood Sampler. It was presented nicely but the lobster was overcooked. We specifically wished to enjoy lobster that evening and were disappointed. The sampler is pricey and we will probably not order it again. The service was excellent and the bartender was great with conversation, as we met with her while waiting for family to arrive. We look forward to visiting again but will enjoy steak, instead.”

“Great little business model! Stopped in here on our way out of town. Ordered a couple smoothies and some sushi.First of all, the menu is fantastic! So many choices on both sides. The prices are definitely reasonable, too. Got a fairly large smoothie and a spicy tuna roll for $15. Not too shabby! The staff was very friendly, but there was a bit of a disconnect in communication between the smoothie side and the food side. Everything was delicious though, and I'll definitely stop in again the next time we're in Marquette.”

“I made a same day reservation, and the lady on the phone was very nice, and when I arrived to the restaurant everyone was very friendly and engaged in conversation. It was 5/5 service for the entire dinner. It is a very comfortable restaurant to be in. Everything from the lighting, seating, temperature, and my favorite was the decor. The French onion soup was outstanding. The cheese was baked perfectly, lots of flavor in the broth, not over salty. The Whitefish Picatta sauce was mostly what I'd expect, but the fish was not flavorful. The green beans were cooked perfectly, still crunchy. For the fish to be the star of the show with no flavor it was pretty disappointing. I did hear I should go back and try something else.”

It's a school cafeteria so expect students, but as a public restaurant there is more money for the school and staff. I recommend getting food here, most negative reviews I've seen are from students who get bored of repetitive food but that's not a good reason to hate on something good.Vegetarian options: They have a restaurant in the dining hall dedicated to vegan foodKid-friendliness: It's a school cafeteriaWheelchair accessibility: They have both handicap parking spots and ramps inside the building for use”

“The Wildcat Den is on campus but definitely open to the public and has a Starbucks attached. Their food is very good with fresh ingredients made to order. The portions are generous. They only have whitefish during the fishing season. It’s fresh from the bay and delicious. The staff is knowledgeable and helpful. Prices are comparable to current fast food prices and the taste and quality are far superior! The atmosphere is open and airy but not brightly lit in a positive way. It’s a comfortable place for a relaxed meal and to linger to visit with friends. Online ordering and take out is also available.Vegetarian options: Vegetable pizza, fish sandwiches, multiple options.Dietary restrictions: Most items are made to order so they can adapt them to your needs.Parking: Lots of convient free parking right outside the building, student center it’s located in.Kid-friendliness: It’s on the college campus and family friendly. It’s a casual setting. My children did really well here, no fluorescent lights. They were calmer and more comfortable in this setting.Wheelchair accessibility: It’s in the student center which has the wheelchair hight door buttons to push to open the doors for you.
