Great selection of craft beers, wine, slushy drinks and they even make wine/beer cocktails…there is always a food truck outside and music in the beer garden! Great staff and an a great atmosphere!”

“We stopped in this afternoon to celebrate my adult kids birthdays. It was not at peak time, which was perfect. The staff was very attentive and we were seated immediately. We were given the perfect amount of time to peruse the menu. My son had the flat bread steak burger with a side of red beans and rice, I had the seafood risotto, and my daughter had the crawfish cavatappi. Everything came out quickly, and everyone enjoyed really their meals. My son said the burger was the best he’d ever had. They also got birthday desserts of hot beignets and Mississippi mud pie. I took a taste of the pie…it was so smooth and the whipped cream on the side was amazing. I’m sorry I can’t remember the waitress’s name, but she was wonderful. We will definitely be back again!”

“I hosted a baby shower at Barrel and Beam and the service was top knotch. Very easy to schedule; amazing communication and friendly staff. Alex and the catering folks were great to work with and the food was amazing! Love working with the bartender, as well, who was very helpful supplying me with tape and a scissors when I was decorating the space. It's a great place to hold an event -- and working with the friendly staff made it even better.”

And the brisket burger is a heart attack on a bun but man its goooooood!! Newly remodeled inside makes the place look bigger and brighter. Very nice remodel!

“I placed an order last week for a dozen frozen pasties to be sent to me in Texas. They put your order through immediately and box it for shipping. Have never had a problem, except this time, Fed-Ex delivered them 6 days later..two days after the day I was scheduled to get them. Sitting in the Texas heat for two days caused the pasties to thaw to the point where they couldn't be saved. Lawry's is sending me the same order free of charge. That is how loyal they are to their customers. They are not only the best tasting pasties, but because of how they treat their customers, they will always get my business. Thank you Lawry's Pasty Shop!”

“We decided to stop here for breakfast on our way downstate. So glad we did! The bread and pastries were delicious! The seasonal baked goods were so pretty that we bought some to take with us to share with family.”

“Ore Dock Beer is exactly what craft beer should be. Good. Cold. Flavorful. Wife and I got flights each and of the beers we had, not a single pour was poor. All were either good or excellent. Very spacious interior with plenty of outdoor seating. Bartender was friendly and informative.”

“Went in and ordered pizza at the Wisconsin rapids location and the guy that took our order was very annoyed. Complaining the phone would stop ringing and must have not been listening to what I said and we ended up with the wrong pizza! The employees attitudes have sucked the last 2 times we were in there.”

“Everything was great! We were in town for Marji and got dinner Friday night. The wait was a little longer than quoted so they threw in some cannoli on the house which was not expected but so appreciated as they were AMAZING.

Alfredo with chicken, spaghetti with meatballs, and fettuccini with olive oil, chicken, tomatoes, basil & garlic were all wonderful, as was the salad. Garlic bread was just meh, not much garlic happening but with how good everything else was, we’d happily come back and just skip it next time.”

“We had the best experience at Bodega yesterday. We stopped for breakfast to celebrate my daughter’s 21st birthday with mimosa’s. We had Aurora as a waitress and she is amazing! The food was incredible!! I love that they let you know right away that you will be waiting about 45 minutes for your food, because it is fresh. It was with the wait! Try the coffee, it is delicious! Great way to spend our Saturday morning. I highly recommend it!!”

“Been going to the only buffet in town and been disappointed with rubbery chicken and beef, knew there had to be a better place. The chicken was pretty amazing, and the flavor was pretty good (Hunan chicken), not much chicken/mostly vegetables. Rangoons were pretty good and so was the steamed rice, and hot and sour soup. Even though not much chicken I was pretty full afterwards even after not eating the vegetables (hate vegetables with a passion, besides the baby corn). Overall I’ll go back, maybe try a full meal instead of a lunch combo.Update: so went back and got a full size meal, and it was the same not much chicken, their catchphrase should be “A whole head of cabbage in every meal”. It’s very good but way too many vegetables compared to meat, I used a deep paper plate where the whole box of rice filled up to the top of the plate, after I was done eating the chicken and rice the vegetables filled up the same amount of space as the rice. Very disappointing their isn’t more decent Chinese places”

“I highly reccomend trying Biggby Bragels and Coffee. Their Turkey Bacon on a Asiago Cheese bagel is my favorite, they grill it before serving so its warm and crispy. Pictured is the Sausage Egg and Cheese Bragel with cream cheese on a Everything bagel. It was delicious. My favorite coffee is the Sweet Tooth blended with whip cream. They have daily specials and senior/student discounts. Beats Starbucks and Dunkin any day.”

“First time there while I was on Vacation. Went to a couple other Bars in Town, didn't like them, and found this one. I actually visited it 4 times during Vacation. I walked a few blocks to go, and there was actually a Bar right across the street from my Hotel! I will definitely visit again next year on Vacation in Marquette. I met 3 different Bartenders and they were all absolutely great. See you all next year!”

“I've been here multiple times in the past year with my dad and friends, and all of a sudden the bouncer at the door starts thinking my ID is fake and threatened to take away my legal ID, wouldn't let me in and bent my ID in half. What a joke. Hire more competent bouncers.”

“Good food at a good price. The staff did what they needed to do to make the experience go smoothly, as they were neither friendly or rude. The area inside where you can order food is relatively small. The dining area is relatively spacious and family oriented, but it is also dark due to small windows and dim lighting.

“Came back to Marquette recently for my brothers 50th class reunion. We wanted to try the Villa again. Remembered how good it was 50 yrs ago when we used to take our homecoming and prom dates there to eat. Remembered it being outstanding back in the day and it still is. The decor was still retro Italian, food was excellent, reasonably priced, and service was very good. I know Italian food and this was excellent. Marquette is blessed with this gem of a restaurant. Try it you won’t be disappointed.”
