“The food was really good. We really enjoyed the Valentine's Day seven course experience deemed "DTF: Down to Feast" which we did with the recommended wine pairings . The desserts were beyond amazing. The crustless cheesecake was an absolute show stopper. I don't normally like tiramisu, but Strega takes the cake on that one. The staff was extremely accommodating. They were very kind, even though we were late for our reservation. Our dietary restrictions weren't an issue, and the staff work like a well oiled machine.Dietary restrictions: They made a separate Mahi-mahi without walnuts per my request.”
“Just left this awesome little coffee shop. Jo(Johanna) is the sweetest barista I’ve ever met. She gave us wonderful tasting lattes and the scones are DELICIOUS! The atmosphere is amazing and so authentic for the area they serve. I live on the opposite end of the Upper Peninsula and will definitely stop in there again!”
“Didn't get food here, but let me say, I'm not from Michigan and they treated me like I was a resident of this quaint small town. If I'm ever back this way, you best believe I'm gonna go”
“I came here with my friend for breakfast - we split a biscuits and sausage gravy, and an egg baked casserole with some hash browns and meats in it. I had a hot chocolate, as well, which easily ranked in the top ten best cafe hot chocolates I've had. The service was fun and friendly, portions were generous, and we got to enjoy the atmosphere including local conversation and camaraderie. A warm and cozy way to spend a winter morning.”
“This place has Pizza Specials on Tuesday and Thursdays. 1 topping Huge pizza with Cheezy Bites, and choice of Soda or Beer. All for about 28 bucks! People there are so Friendly. Highly recommend.”
“Thank you to the Jackson's Pit staff family! As working travelers, this bar gave us a place to call home while we were in town! The staff is very knowledgeable about the food, of which is fabulous from appetizers to burgers and salads too! The staff is beyond wonderful, so friendly and fun. Wait, I can't forget the locals, they are kind and amazing as well! Just an all around great experience and atmosphere. We hold Kate, Kat & Becca dear in our memories & hearts! Don't want to be social? No fear! You can also choose a table away from the bar, the food is worth it! (So are the drinks, and the pours are good too.) (Can't wait to get my sweatshirt I ordered!!!)”
“Amazing brew, and the classy, brick, iron and wood building is cool - the atmosphere is great, with a sun-deck, and food truck with amazing nachos right next to porch! This place is tucked away in Negaunee MI and should be visited often! Say ya to the UP, ey!”
“First time there, went to go see the band Spun for the first time there, was a little cramped, but it was a great time and the bartenders were great... Drinks and shots were good as well... Can't wait for summer to go”
“Born and raised in Negaunee. Tino’s is a staple in its history since the 70’s that I can remember.Faces change in employment but the food, pizza and cudighi, is just as excellent as it was back then. The people that frequent may get older but there smiles are just as young as memories of past. If there is a way to see old friends when visitingit’s here.Vango’s, the Villa or Congress are not comparable and that’s from my wife thats not even from the United States.8 days and we have had 4 pizzas now with pepperoni, cudighi, onions and black olives. With one more day here I can see 5 on the horizon!Don’t regret stopping here!”
“Great place for a quick sub. Quick service that's friendly and helpful. Cookies are fresh and delicious. I enjoy being able to sit and enjoy my time while enjoying my choice sub.”
“Food was super good. Although it seemed to take longer than expected to get our plates it was so good it outweighed the fact it took longer. We'll be back again!”
“Good food and great service! Great place to go with the family! I always order the grilled chicken Ranch wraps! I love that I can order this even during breakfast hours!”
“Employee made a comment under his breath after a miscommunication with my boyfriend. Was obviously not having a good day. Regardless, that can’t be taken out on the customers. I usually have the best experience here with the service but today I felt unwelcomed and like my being there was a hindrance. Only giving a 5 star because usually this place is really awesome and I don’t want their rating to go down- just want management to be aware of treatment of customers by this mornings employee.”
“Delicious homemade food?❤️It did take a little longer but OMG was it worth the wait!!!!Definitely stop if in the area, it is a hidden gem filled with goodness!”
“Absolutely GORGEOUS coffee spot. The atmosphere is so nice, with the accompaniment of live music on occasion it’s the perfect spot to sip and work or grab and go.”
“I love this place so much it was a mandatory planned part of my wedding night! My husband and I stopped there on our way home from the reception. Nothing hits like a congress pizza.Dietary restrictions: I get a gluten free pizza due to allergy and I NEVER get sick. They take every precaution possible.”
“Simple done well. Great cozy atmosphere and the staff is great. Usually it’s one person doing it all, cooking, bartending, etc. and always with a smile. Always speedy.”
“Honestly i’ve never been, i live in the UK and i bought a jacket that is clearly from this bar in a vintage shop in brighton because it’s sick. One day i’ll fly over and wear it.”
“I get cookies from Doozers whenever I see them out and about in the community, which is frequently. They're at the Farmers Market in the summer, they're at most of the festivals in town, sometimes they're at the mall. And their cookies are always top-tier. Plus, the owners are super nice, and their kids are cute.”
“This place was a welcome surprise. It's unassuming, tucked out of the way near the bowling alley...frankly, I had resisted going there for quite a while but I'm so glad I changed my mind! I've been twice now, and I strongly recommend fried anything... the mushrooms and the pickle planks are fantastic and made fresh. Huge servings of both but so good. My partner had a reuben that he said was maybe the best he'd ever had. The chicken wrap was great... the chicken sandwich was....a chicken sandwich, but it had a couple of nice strips of bacon and was good. Service was great both times and the manager is engaged and personable. Even the recorded music was fun! I'm really happy to recommend this place.”
“I love this place! It's part of home, it's part of me when I return home to visit! The cudighi is spot on (frozen and to go as well!). I always get the frozen cheese tortellini and cheese ravioli, and their gnocchi is to die for! Many other Italian imported goods also available, and make sure you order a hot cudighi before you leave!Wheelchair accessibility: There is a wheelchair ramp to get to the elevated door.”
“Great establishment. Costumer service is beyond what I expected. Great service and food . If the food isn’t cooked to your liking they will recook it . Wish the main chain establishments would take heed. Definitely will be ”
“Having visited Barrel and Beam many times, I always recommend it to anyone in the Marquette area. It is such a warm and welcoming space. Whether you stop in for one drink or want to spend the entire day, it's perfect. We love this place so much that my wife and I recently held our wedding reception here, which was a small gathering of a few of our closest friends. The entire Barrel and Beam crew was exceptional to work with; the ambiance was amazing, the drinks were fantastic, and head chef Alex curated a delicious menu that suited us perfectly. Absolutely make sure that you check it out!”
“Although the price seems steep, the amount of food you receive makes the price obvious. The food is delicious and well timed. Appetizer, soup, entree, the desert. All came at a well planned time. Would absolutely recommend to anyone able to treat themselves.”
“Came in with my Sister for a bloody Mary this Sunday. The bartender we got was super attentive, friendly, and welcoming! Michelle really made our Sunday memorable and enjoyable!”
“Amazing service and coffee, Staff was busy but still took time to be kind to someone else who had a bad day... You shared a smile and made that woman feel better. I was impressed with the level you went to just to make her have a better day after leaving the store. Thanks for letting me see how you invite others into your life and welcome them to come back.”
“Wrap blew up in the microwave, so my friend had to eat it sideways. New and exciting experience all the way. I could even fill up my entire ice box from the amount of ice in my latte. How convenient. 5 Stars.”
“In response to Ian Wallin...Shelly and Sam are good people doing honest business. If your lil buddy wasn't served it was because he wasn't legal...if there was no question about his id or he wasn't obviously all ready trashed he would have been served without a problem. If you had a problem at the Rainbow it's because your problem existed before you arrived.”
“If you like strong drinks at the stereo typical "dive-bar" this one makes the tour. The type of local tavern that makes you feel at home, friendly staff and patrons.”
“Fabulous gluten-free pasties!! I’ve had them twice now and they never disappoint. They are super careful about cross-contamination, since one of the owners is gluten-free. I forgot this most recent visit, but if you want to eat it hot when you arrive be sure to call ahead so they have an hour to bake it. This place is a MUST when we are in the U.P. When they make the GF pasties, they clean and sanitize their equipment and surfaces and then they do not use regular flour for 24 hours prior to making their gluten free pasties. They do not, however, guarantee a 100% gluten free pastie—but I’ve never gotten sick and their level of precaution is amazing!Dietary restrictions: When they make the GF pasties, they clean and sanitize their equipment and surfaces and then they do not use regular flour for 24 hours prior to making their gluten free pasties.”
