“My mom and I were visiting the Upper Peninsula so we are new to Pasties but these were delicious! Seasoned well and did not need any condiments. Would recommend!”
“My mom.and I visited The Fish Basket last week , it was delicious ! Hot, tasty, plentiful, I highly recommend stopping if you are in the area! The owner was friendly as well, enjoyed eating there and will again when in Munising!”
“This place gives you the feel of a neighborhood pub overwhelmed by tourists which I guess is what you have in a tourist town. That said, the bartender was on top of things and the beer was quite good!”
“Great coffee. Fun, open setting with local art available. Friendly service. Found this while walking around Munising now make it a point to stop in every time I'm in the area.”
“Went camping here for a few days with my Dad and our Bernese mountain dog and it was a lovely way to kick back and relax for a couple days. We were lucky with beautiful weather for October. While being here it seemed all the stresses of life melted away. It’s also a great place to rock hound. You just pick your spot and pay using an envelope near the entrance of the campground. Location wise it’s about 5-10 min from Munising and there is a gas station and small lodge across the street! The hosts were informative & eager to answer all are questions! There is fresh drinking water from water pumps scattered around the campground. And clean restrooms by the day-use area.It is roughly $30-40 per night. Spot 9 & 10 are right on Lake Superior, we were lucky to get spot 9. It is reservations through the website during the summer and the last week of September & first week of October are first come first serve. The campground closes by October 7th for the season.Restrooms: Restrooms were the cleanest pit toilets I’ve ever used. And I’ve used alot of them. This one actually smelled good and had plenty of toilet paper and barely any bugs. I was impressed, the hosts did an amazing job.Dog-friendliness: Brought our Bernese mountain dog here and she loved every minute! Great place to camp out with ur furry friend Picnic area: Tons of picnic tables in the day use area!”
“Earl E. Byrds was DEEEELICIOUS! Veronica was a fun and friendly waitress, coffee hot, and the skillets we were flavor packed and perfect after a 5 mile UP hike. if you're in Munising, you gotta go there!”
“The hotdogs were amazing. Killer! The shrimp tacos were cold and the corn tortillas were not cooked. However, they were not bad. Just cold. I will come back here for some dogs! And take them over to the bar and drink a brew and eat my dogs.Dietary restrictions: Gluten free options.”
“Hands down the best brucnh place in Munising. The southwest was damn awesome. We ordered again just to have it. Great ambience, with a library and bookstore attached. Coffees are decent.”
“Had low expectations walking in based on other peoples comments, but 10+ taps of Michigan and domestic beer, frozen mugs, what more could you ask for? Highlight of the stop was chatting with the bartender! Worth a stop for a cold drink after a long day of sightseeing!”
“Don’t go to the other fish shop in this strip, stop here. We learned the hard way.We stopped at the other fish shops before making this our last one. It’s not as flashy as the other ones, but that’s what makes it so good. They can focus on making the fish dip and smokes fish way better than the other shops, rather than making the aesthetic match those vacationing here.My fiancé always stops here for Bret’s whitefish dip and buys extra for the 8 hour drive home and some for the weeks that we are not out here. They do take a vacation during the summer. You just need to call to see if they are open. One week we were up here and found out they were out for the week. Going into winter, they do close down for the season. I think it’s the owner, she is very kind and my fiancé just loves the whitefish dip she makes. Make sure to have cash. If I remember right, they don’t take card. It is a smaller business, so be kind and have patience!Parking: Easy to find parking. You can park right out in front of the entrance!”
“Stopped in with my wife and we did not regret it. My wife had the Buffalo chicken wrap and I had a double Buffalo burger, we also had the poutine and cheese tots. That bison burger, was probably the best burger I've had, the gravy used with the poutine had an awesome flavor, the fries and tots were cooked perfectly. The wrap was a fantastic portion size and was delicious. My only complaint is that we live so far away! The staff was wonderful and super funny! Next time we're up will DEFINITELY be stopping in again”
“Amazing fish fry's! Our order got lost twice but it was well worth the wait still! Ran out of trout and whitefish but still got the perch, walleye, and haddock. Walleye was the best! All were great though still”
“Love the view from their picture windows! Fun to watch birds at their bird feeders too. Great food & drinks & friendly service. They also have a small motel & a rental lodge next door, but I haven't stayed there yet. Close to Munising, a few miles off north end of hwy 13 or off Hwy 94.Wheelchair accessibility: There is also a wheelchair to use, first come first served, in the lobby. Bathroom seems accessible.”
“The bar is great. The kitchen is in need of a lot of help. Out of many key menu items. The cole slaw is nothing but just mayo and cabbage.. the service is in need of some refining .. and our meals very bland….”
“This Subway located in Munising, Michigan is a very good Subway. We have stopped here several times and we will continue to visit this location.Parking: Plenty of parking.”
“We stopped for a late lunch and enjoyed the whitefish bites and chowder. Yum on both! We had a hard time deciding on a drink, so we picked 2 and bought 2 to-go. Our server was super friendly and even gave suggestions on which falls to visit.”
“One of the few restaurants open during the off-season, and it wasn't busy at all, we could seat ourselves. Service was quick and the bathrooms were clean. We ordered the Cheese Curds which were unlike any cheese curds I've ever had, I would recommend them. We also ordered the Tiny Yokum's and the Lonesome Polecat and a couple local beers. I thought the burgers were really good, especially after some hiking, we just thought they were a little overpriced.”
“Pizza was amazing. Being from Indiana it's always scary getting pizza in different states. My boyfriend and almost finished a 16 in ?♀️ street special add sausage!”
“This location in munising Michigan, is no longer in service.,. But the Wi-Fi works! LOL, pulled into the parking lot, my phone had no service, but when I clicked on the Wi-Fi icon. Hardee's Wi-Fi was available ?And, according to the sign in the window they are now hiring!!!”
“This is a Beautiful location to relax and get a bite to eat. The food is amazingly delicious and the staff is very friendly.A lot of people are disappointed that they don’t sell alcohol anymore, but it makes it that much better knowing that you can bring your kids and get a bite to eat without worrying about drunken idiots.”
“This brewery is pretty good. The bartender was very friendly and made me feel welcome. Their bearded guy logo is awesome. I bought a few stickers and a t-shirt because I like it so much”
