I love this brewery and the beer they brew. There is one major issue that’s been developing over the last couple years. The amount of children in this brewery is crazy. At times there are more children than adults here. I’ve personally had many drinks knocked over and spilt by kids running around. It’s not that I don’t think children shouldn’t be allowed but this place is becoming a daycare. I’ve talked with others and even some bands that feel this issue needs to addressed.

No dogs allowed, even on outdoor patio. As a UP native that now lives on the West Coast where dogs are welcome to most establishments with outdoor seating, this policy is baffling. Skip Blackrocks and head over to Ore Dock or Drifa.

Jim was a great bartender! I'm not a beer lover (my husband is), but Jim found me a beer I actually liked! Very friendly atmosphere at Blackrocks Brewery, I would definitely recommend!

Very nice brewery beautiful outside in back. But we left because NOT a dog friendly establishment. I inquired why? I was told bad experiences in the past with patrons not taking care of their dogs. Get rid of those patrons not the dogs! We went to the Ore Dock where out Chocolate lab was very welcomed!

Enjoyed first visit to the brewery. Have been enjoying Blackrocks brews for a decade, especially the 51K.And thank you for being dog less-friendly. It reduces the experience of many patrons having animals around.
