Grove-R daycare is a nightmare to work for and not an educational safe place for your children. Working there the employees work ridiculous hours due to turn over rates and lack of managements help when people call in. You are basically mandated if you work there while management sits in the office doing nothing (“paperwork”) from 6am-6pm. The work environment is very toxic as well since management spends their free time talking bad about all the employees adding to the stress of the teachers that are truly running the place causing a divide. They hire anyone regardless of how experienced or good they may be and the amount of neglectful/mean teachers that have worked there is alarming. Raising any red flags to management does nothing either. They say if they don’t see it they won’t say anything but they were never on the work floor. As teachers we hardly had any of the resources to educate the kids, allow growth in developments, and sometimes didn’t even have enough food during meals to fill their tiny stomachs. Kids who were potty training were left to use their diapers instead of learning to use the toilet, there has been times when kids were accidentally left alone in rooms and even outside at points, kids wouldn’t be changed far past the changing times, and kids were praised when they helped clean using bleach products and harsh chemicals. These are just a few examples of issues that arose. They also don’t have any rules on children who repeatedly are psychically violent towards other kids or teachers and hardly take the time out of their day to correct these behaviors. A close friend of mine got injured on the job (broke a part in their arm) and the boss asked them to just wait till break to go to ER. After finding out the issue asked them to come back to finish their shift and to apologize to the person who had to stay due to this major injury. I worked there for months and put my all into working with these kids but couldn’t handle going home so mentally drained every day. Every teacher that I have talked to had told me that if it weren’t for the bonds they made with the children they would have quit a long time ago and I watched as almost every new teacher quit. Working here is one of the most rewarding yet difficult periods in my life and I know that I would never take my kid here nor should you.

My daughter has been going there for 4 years now. They have always treated our kids great. Great preschool program as well. Sue, Kim, Tasha, Amanda, Sarah, etc... Great people! Highly recommend taking your kids here.

I'm very disappointed with Grover and how often they send our children home. Every time you talk to a person that works there, they gave have a different answer or reason why. Our kids missed 3.5 days last week and now 3 days this week, even with being seen by a doctor twice and providing doctors notes. There has been times when I pick my kids up and their diaper is full or no coats on when it's cold.

When I called to see how my daughter was doing, an employee that works there doesn’t particularly like me sort of say, well after I said who I was on the phone, they hung up. And would not answer my calls after that. When it comes to my daughters health, I do not play childish games. Everything I’ve heard from this employee is absolutely unacceptable. The covid outbreaks at that daycare, multiple times they have covered it up, not honest with parents, and the last time they just finally shut down due to multiple staff having it.

Let me count the ways why I have no trust in this operation to care for children. No day care is perfect, but from my perspective I know their entire staff covered up their COVID-19 positives neglecting to inform the public to mitigate infection, along with their complacency in removing dangerous children who have broken other children’s bones, have bitten other children to the point of breaking skin and drawing blood. This place is a hazardous to the welfare of all children. I will also add that although there is no perfect day care, this business is not compliant with even the most basic expectations in disinfecting the premises as hand-foot-and-mouth disease along with other infections have run rampant amongst the children over the past year I have been involved with this business. Their policy seems to include denying parents of information on their children as well. Their staff have blatantly refused, per telephone request inquiries by concerned parents and their child’s health, to seemingly fulfill the petty desires of the Grover Day Care staff members to withhold this information to carry out their personal vendettas in the community to certain members of the community. I would strongly urge every parent to seriously reconsider entrusting this unprofessional and immoral so-called “day care” as from my experience I have witnessed a culture of child mistreatment and indifference to their overall wellbeing. I wouldn’t trust their business to care for anyone I love. They need to either shape up or close down.

I have no idea where would be without this amazing daycare. They are quick to update and respond daily and are VERY friendly. Highly recommend!

I love this family run daycare! The teachers make sure your children are well taken care of and always doing a fun activity. The teachers will call you during the day if they have questions or concerns with your child. I love the little hand and foot print crafts that get sent home, scholastic book orders and parties. Wouldn’t trust anyone else with my kids.

They have made the transition so easy with me going back to work 3 months ago- Our daughter seems to really enjoy her time there and is always happy!

Unfortunately we did not have a great experience here. We loved the teachers, however we had several incidents regarding health and safety as well as consistent feeding. The pros did not outweigh the cons. The director has a very stand off approach when it comes to handling issues which ultimately caused us to withdraw our child. The policies and procedures aren’t consistent which also caused quite the issues even after we left. This place has extreme potential and we wished it would have worked out for us.

My daughter has been going to Grove-R for about a year and a half. We love it so much the teachers are amazing and very personable! She learns so much there! I couldn’t ask for a better daycare!

We had horrible experiences here. Our bills were never correct. Our child wasn’t fed or changed consistently and the communication was absolutely terrible. The turnover of staff is concerning as well.
