We needed a Cake, I wanted Cheddar Jalapeño Bread. Both tasks easily accomplished at the Huron Mountain Bakery. Always worth the stop, the staff is helpful and patient. There is a welcomed feeling when you walk in. Like even if you don’t know what you are aiming for the will get you set up.
Seriously though, the best Cheddar Jalapeño Bread I have even had. I’ll just stand in front of the toaster and demolish the loaf one buttered piece at a time.

Great place for baked goods and bread. Right now they have alot of holiday items including cookies and fruit bread. Do yourself a favor and try the cranberry cake. Yum

I’ve loved this place for years along with its counterpart in Ishpeming. I’m not personally huge on a lot of the fancier goods they sell but the donuts are the first thing I grab every time I go on leave back home:) if anyone’s actually reading this review, pleeeeaaaase go back to the wider and thinner apple fritters. The thick doughy football shaped ones you’ve had for the last few years are so much less enjoyable to eat with all that unglazed dough- I throw the middles away or just don’t buy them anymore.

Always stop in anytime I'm in Marquette, MI. I love the bread, donuts, cannolis. Never a bad item from them

Delicious food, the cinnamon rolls and pumpkin cream cheese muffins are some of my favorites but everything I've had here is good. One of my favorite places to stop at in Marquette

A great bakery. Variety of donuts, cakes, and other pastries to satisfy your sweet tooth. Long lines in the morning, but it moves fast.

2025: Always our favorite place to visit in Marquette after a disappointing day trying to photograph the Lake Superior & Ishpaming (and failing to catch them, again).
Sugar therapy always puts a smile on a grumpy face!
Tender, fresh donuts.
I've had their savory sandwiches, too (very good).
Menu/prices accurate as of Oct 2025.
2023: Surprised that almost all of the dozens of flavors of donuts were sold by 09:30am on a weekday. Very much would have appreciated price tags on items. Delicious food!
