I’ve loved this place for years along with its counterpart in Ishpeming. I’m not personally huge on a lot of the fancier goods they sell but the donuts are the first thing I grab every time I go on leave back home:) if anyone’s actually reading this review, pleeeeaaaase go back to the wider and thinner apple fritters. The thick doughy football shaped ones you’ve had for the last few years are so much less enjoyable to eat with all that unglazed dough- I throw the middles away or just don’t buy them anymore.
We got several different kinds of donuts. All were fantastic, especially the German chocolate and toasted coconut! Lots of other dessert and bread options. We got some ice sugar cookies for the road and those were great too. Very reasonably priced!
We got dessert and breakfast. The carrot cake was delicious as was the turtle brownie. And GF. We got a chocolate chip muffin for breakfast and it was so moist even the next morning.
Love this place. For a bakery, usually by the end of the day there is little left. We got there late in the day and they still had a huge variety of items to pick from. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. The desserts we chose were excellent. They had gluten free options.
Amazing 👏 Just Amazing 👏

Huron Mountain Bakery is a Marquette treasure for anyone who loves fresh, high-quality baked goods. The smell alone when you walk in is enough to make you want one of everything. Their selection is huge—fresh breads, decadent pastries, donuts, cookies, and seasonal specialties—all made with care and bursting with flavor. The donuts are light and fluffy, the bread is perfectly baked, and the pastries strike that perfect balance between rich and not overly sweet. Coffee and drinks are always fresh, making it a great stop for breakfast or a mid-day pick-me-up. The staff is warm, friendly, and quick, even when the place is busy. Prices are more than fair for the quality, and you can tell they take pride in every item. Whether you’re grabbing a quick treat or stocking up for the weekend, this is a must-stop in Marquette.
