We're from TC, and are visiting a relative in Marquette. She took us here for ice cream; I believe it tasted as good as Moomer's, but a lot less expensive!!! Yummy and a polite and helpful staff!!!

Our family wound up with some Jilberts Amaretto Mackinac Island Fudge ice cream by chance last year in Pennsylvania somehow, and when it ran out we began planning a trip up to Marquette just to get more. We drove about 1000 miles to get here. There were license plates from six different states in the parking lot when we got there at 9PM on a Sunday and the line was out the door. It was absolutely worth it, and we will be back.

THE best ice cream on the UP, hands down! Homemade ice cream in many flavors. Cookie dough ice cream is delicious! Waffle cones, sundaes, milkshakes, etc. Stopped here in July 2024 and this will be a stop on virtually all of my future trips to the UP. Highly recommended, even if coming all the way from Sault or Ironwood!
They always either park their trucks in the handicap zones when unloading, or block the entire entrance to the parking spots instead of going to the proper loading area at the university.
