3/23/2025 Update: Still pre-order issues. I tried to pre-order many times before 11pm and I get a message saying they are closing soon, but it says they are open until 2am. Why can someone NOT place an order before 11pm? We are talking 3 hours to closing.
Time for an updated Review. My last one was 3 years ago and it was a 3-star because of a few major repeated issues. Now the updated Pros: Over the past 3 months I have experienced acceptable wait times at the drive thru. Most of the staff I had to deal with were decent and my orders have been pretty much correct over the past 3 months. Just minor issue here or there, usually wrong sauce or no sauce packets or napkins when requested. I still seem to have issues with their Pre-order via website and their phone app. I have also called recently to ask if they knew if they were having pre-order issues with their website or phone apps. Simple question and the first thing I got was; "WE DO NOT HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH THAT AND WE HAVE NO CONTROL OVER IT!" Hold your roll there buddy... I was just asking if you were aware of or if there is/was an issue. I figured maybe there is something they have to log into to turn that stuff on to accept orders or maybe the system was down (which most businesses would be aware of if there was an issue). Oddly enough, 5 mins later I decided to submit my order request again... and it went thru :O So, not sure if the guy I talked to was being straight with me and no I wasn't being a Karen. I was nice and just asked a question. One step forward, 2 back.

Food is ok but not the best for a Taco Bell chain, as a corporation, menu choices could be better. They need to bring back ALL of the favorite classics that they discontinued and get rid of the stupid ones. Service can be good most of the time, but sometimes has its moments. Atmosphere is terrible here, not very cleanly or sanitary. Been times I was there, and the place looked just disgusting let alone appetizing for dining! 🤢 I sometimes stop at the Taco Bell in Menominee and find it WAY BETTER on EVERY level than in Escanaba, especially with the clean atmosphere. Also Escanaba provides forks instead of sporks. Ever try to eat tacos that are broke apart with a fork? The bits of hamburger, shredded cheese, lettuce, tomato? Kinda hard to do, pieces of food fall right through the prongs...much easier to use a spoon or sporks, which is like a spoon. Escanaba Taco Bell used to have sporks, for some reason they got cheap and stupid and took them away for the forks. If Menominee can get them, which they do, than shouldn't be a problem for Escanaba... probably cheaper too since a spork is both spoon AND fork in one, only one utensil to have to buy than as well as a better accommodation for customers. 🙄

This establishment claims to be a "fast food place" but is the slowest place ive ever been, it takes 5 minutes just for an employee to come to the register, and then having to wait 20-30 minutes for my food is absolutely ridiculous,gross and terrifying and they forgot an item tried getting it fixed but no one would come to the register so i just left. how did they mess up hiring these idiots... 1/10

Literally no meat on my crunchwrap, not to mention the hardshell taco that looked like it must’ve been sitting there all day since it was stuck to the paper and the whole thing was soggy and fell apart. Can’t wait until they replace all of you with robots, the future couldn’t come fast enough

I came thru the drive for lunch on 1/9/25 and ordered a chicken chalupa and a small diet drink. I can honestly say it was the worst meal ever. The chicken was dry, had more lettuce than any other ingredient and the wrap part was so tough I couldn't eat it, if I didn't have to get back to work I would have come in and complained. I do have to say the staff was very friendly, however I probably will not visit your establishment ever again.

I'm a transgender female so my fellow trans family take note I went in all pretty hair up in a high bun ponytail a shirt which clearly showed my chest was anything but male and yet the register lady refers to me as he not once but twice like um ok from a male I'd expect that but from a fellow female come on do better

No issues with the staff. We moved tables because the first table was so wobbly and our shoes were sticking to the floor. Found a better table but the floor was still SO sticky. There was garbage all over the place, in the back where they cook the food (floor was covered). My quesadilla barely had any chicken in it and was cut all weird. It tasted burnt too. Not the best experience unfortunately.

Made my order wrong, wasn’t even busy. Disappointed and dissatisfied. Somehow ran out of potatoes, although half of their menu items include them. Do better Taco bell!

Okay, the orders aren't always right. Have you seen how slammed these people get? And they always make it right in the end even if that means reimbursing you, just be a bit patient. Food is incredibly affordable here, portion sizes are not something to complain about. I always like to get a side of beans in case I do want more in my tacos though. You get what you pay for!
Really huge kudos to the Taco Bell crew for persevering and working quickly despite the pressure!
Vegetarian options: You can basically customize anything to be vegetarian here. I would especially recommend adding cabbage. Cabbage is as good as life gets. Especially with some black beans.
Parking: There are plenty of parking spots and most people are going through the drive-thru anyway. Not to mention that the mall and SuperOne also have parking nearby
