My husband and I split the blueberry lemon scone, falafel bites, and tofu shakshuka. Everything was super tasty and filling. We only spent $33 so a perfect simple lunch. Updated from previous review on 2026-01-24
The hummus was awful and the service even worse. the hummus was extremely lemony in a way that made me think the batch had to be messed up and it wasn’t normally served like that. i told the wait staff so they could inform the kitchen, but the server did not care at all. there was no apology or inquiry to the kitchen. they just handed me the bill without asking if i wanted anything else, even though i barely ate. i would’ve ordered more, but i felt unwelcome and left hungry to go to a different restaurant. it was such a weird experience and makes me not want to go back.
Located at an old theater. Interior is cozy, warm, loud and at times raucous, especially on the second floor. Projector playing movies onto a huge paneled screen, great for their dinner and movie events for sure. Emma is waiting on us. She’s friendly and attentive. The whole staff works together. Good about giving their customers the best service possible. Ordered the truffle fries, summer days, delft salad and Caesar salad aide, king trumpet daal bowl. $75.97 They do charge an operation fee, just call it what it really is, a CC fee. Don’t like when businesses beat around the bush with passing down a CC fee. The delft side salad and Caesar both come with kale, this is not my favorite green, at all. Not fond of either salad so much, as a result of the prominence of kale. The truffle fries were soggy and wilted. Not the type of fries I prefer at all. The king trumpet daal was quite good, lots of flavor and a really nice kick to it. Goes down easily with or without the naan bread. The beet, summer day mocktail and the king trumpet daal are well worth a try. The summer day drink was really citrusy and quite refreshing. Hit the spot.
I visited twice during my time in Marquette. First, I went for breakfast and ordered a bloody mary and the tofu scramble. The bloody mary was really good! I had high hopes for the tofu scramble. Honestly, I was impressed they had it! They have quite a few vegan options on their menus. The tofu scramble was not that good though. I was surprised to see sliced carrots in the scramble - a lot of them. There was also kale and I think mushrooms as well. I felt like there was only 1/16th of a block of tofu in this scramble. They plate it so it looks like there's a lot, but it's just the top layer. Tofu is the cheapest protein so I'm not sure why they're stingy on the amount in the dish. The carrots did not make sense and there was way too many. The tofu scramble was seemingly unseasoned. The kale wasn't the right leafy green for this scramble either. It wasn't massaged or softened much, so it was not enjoyable to eat. The hot sauce gave the dish more flavor. I do feel like they put a lot of thought and effort into their vegan dishes, but the tofu scramble needs to be reworked. I came back for dinner later in my trip, and it was much better. We ordered the falafel bites, harvest salad, and romesco pasta to share. Everything was incredible. If anything, the sauce that came with the falafel was too sweet and not really a sauce for falafel. The salad and pasta were delicious - no notes! Updated from previous review on 2025-09-23
Do NOT recommend! Hateful people.
Decided on ordering appetizers first dinner as the menu had a good variety and we wanted to try many. Excellent choice, fun place, and the food was delicious. Service was too!
Delicious marked vegan options, including desert. Very flavorful!
Decent variety of vegan options. Well spiced and seasoned dishes. Protein, carbs, and veg. Yummy and satisfying.
My husband and I love going to the Delft!! We just had a nice spread of food for our anniversary there this week. We had tasty coconut milk muscles, ribs, the best hummus in town (HANDS DOWN) and a side salad. ❤️🥂🤵♂️👰♀️💍🍽️ I grew up in metro Detroit and miss good genuine hummus/middle eastern food.. the Delft’s hummus is by far the most legit flavor I’ve had in MQT.
It was our first visit to The Delft .. we'll definitely come back! We had a delicious meal (I had the lamb ragu which was amazing) with friendly, efficient service. Loved the atmosphere, too: our waiter explained the history of the building.

We hired the Delft for catering for our wedding and I cannot get over how amazing it was. Hands down, it was the best wedding food I’ve ever had. We had people legit try stealing the little cups of the whipped ricotta and honey, and the shawarma skewers were to die for. It’s been almost a month since our wedding and we are STILL getting compliments on the food.
The Delft was extremely easy to work with. Kelsey was absolutely amazing through the entire process, she made everything so incredibly seamless.
Cannot recommend the Delft catering enough and the restaurant itself!

Great vegan options! Got the tofu scramble and it was flavorful and fresh. The tofu was cubed rather than scrambled but the flavor was good. The hummus appetizer was delicious as well! Served said they use local and organic ingredients. Great service, fun atmosphere. Has outdoor seating.

Amazing place in the heart of Marquette. Lovely ambiance. Very unique menu options. Nice vegetarian options too. I had the coconut curry with Tofu and it was delicious. The smash burger was so juicy and more than filling. Definitely a must try place.

By far the best meal I had in the UP. The food is excellent, so much flavor and cooked to perfection. They are also very allergen conscious and have a lot of gluten free options. My only regret is not eating here for every meal. HIGHLY recommend!

I stopped on a busy summer night! I made a last minute reservation online when I realized, I would be unable to get in to any other place. They actually seated a friend and I an hour before our reservation. The waiter was hilarious and easy going. The food was delicious, how was this not our plan A? We ordered the pasta and salmon. Both had amazing fresh flavor. We also got the dill cocktail and honey dew cocktail. We’ve never had anything like it and we loved it!
