Who is the bartender constantly open mouth chomping on gum?? Gross. She spit on me three times before even serving me.
I would if they answered they're phone. I ve called 4 times in 25 mins. even had a friend call with no answer... I'll change my review after I get a response back
Like the place, but one of the bartenders Julie who was also my daughter’s Spanish teacher at NMU has it in for her. Before Christmas my daughter went in to eat with some friends. She was the designated driver for the night. Julie made her go out in the car and wait for them because she wasn’t 21. My daughter turned 21 on December 28. Her and her friends went in again last night. I guess it’s cheap pitcher Thursday. The server checked everyone’s ID and was taking good care of them. Julie seen my daughter and started talking with her server and pointing and staring her way. My daughter’s friend overheard Julie say some negative things about my daughter. The server came back to the table and checked my daughter’s ID again. Her and her friends said the server seemed to have a attitude with them the rest of the evening.

Bar was ok, had one bartender fighting for her life on pitcher night and the bar was filled. Also saw Mutiple customers pick up tips off the bar intended for the bartender. Overall, the bar is decent and it's the first bar to ever stock Old Style outside of Chicago, so you get a thumbs up for that.

When I went to college in Marquette, this bar was called the elite shoppe. it was very unfriendly then to college students ,seems to be the same now. The two old tightwads that owned it knock the head off a draft beer and slop it into an empty glass for the next customer. I witnessed it. A friend of mine Ordered a ham sandwich ,it was cut so thin he said it was the first time he ever saw a slice of ham with only one side. friends of mine lived in the basement of the house, which is attached to the bar while they were in college.
The bartenders making you feel like the best of friends.
