Home cooked food that was affordable and fast! We had the chicken tenders they were perfectly tender, juicy and tasty! Lots if sauce choices that were not in packets! The fries were delicious and everything tasted like real food. Walked in to the Yoop Coop and found it so clean-and the young man at the counter was super helpful with recommendations, i loved it! The homemade desserts were the best! A little Marquette gem for sure!

Hands down best chicken tenders and sauces ever. This is a must stop (at least once most of the time twice) every time we are in Marquette. The tenders are delicious and the sauces to dip them in are even more delicious and so fun to try!

As a vegan, this restaurant is generally not even close to being an option for me. Recently, they did a curry menu pop up night though which several vegan options! The Chana Masala and all other vegan offerings were amazing, so hopefully this is something they offer regularly. Or even better, permanently open a spot serving Indian food. I know there would be demand for it, and I would love to support them more! ( I gave three stars because while the food I had was amazing, it was a limited time menu offering)
We placed a HUGE catering order with Yoop Coop for an event with over 50 high school students and adults attending. The staff was timely and extremely helpful loading up my car! No- I've never had that many chicken nuggies in my vehicle EVER. They made sure the entire order was there before I left, which I really appreciated. The kids at the event loved the food we purchased from there and there were hardly any leftovers. Biggest sauce hit was the Super Ranch. We'll absolutely be ordering from them again! Thanks, YC!

The Yoop Coop is take-out only, but that is part of the appeal. You are not coming here for table service or mood lighting. You are coming here for fried chicken in a box, the kind that travels anywhere and still hits just right.
The menu is simple. You pick your lane: chicken strips or a chicken sandwich. I go strips every time, because this place does sauces like some places do sermons. They are not a side note, they are the whole gospel. The jalapeño popper dip is the one I preach about. It is creamy, spicy, and completely addictive. You do not just dip into it, you commit to it.
The chicken itself is golden and crispy with just enough bite to make you sit up straight. Pair it with the sauces and suddenly you understand why people talk about The Yoop Coop the way they do.
There are no tables, no lamps, no pretense. Just food that demands your attention even if you are eating it in your car outside. The Yoop Coop is a Marquette essential, and for me, it is the jalapeño popper dip that keeps it on my list forever.

Woke up in a cold sweat last night because I had a nightmare about the lemon pepper sauce never coming back again!
Great grilled tenders, greater cheese curds, and greatest lemon pepper dip of all time. ):

Yoop Coop is hands-down one of the most memorable and delicious dining experiences in the Upper Peninsula. From the moment you step in, you can tell this isn’t just another chicken place—it’s a spot built on passion for great food, friendly service, and a love for the local community. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, with a rustic, Yooper charm that makes you want to settle in and stay awhile. Whether you’re here for dine-in, takeout, or grabbing a quick meal on the go, everything about the experience feels thoughtful and well-executed.
The food is nothing short of outstanding. The chicken is perfectly seasoned, crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and clearly made fresh—not mass-produced. Portions are generous, and the menu has enough variety to keep everyone happy, from classic fried chicken lovers to those looking for sandwiches, tenders, or flavorful sides. Speaking of sides, they’re not an afterthought here—the coleslaw is crisp and tangy, the fries are golden and seasoned just right, and the biscuits are buttery and crave-worthy. Everything tastes homemade, and you can tell the ingredients are fresh.
Service at Yoop Coop is just as impressive as the food. Staff are genuinely friendly, quick to help with recommendations, and attentive without being overbearing. Even when it’s busy—and it often is—they keep things running smoothly while making each customer feel valued. The attention to detail extends to cleanliness, organization, and the overall comfort of the dining area.
Prices are more than fair for the quality and portion sizes, making Yoop Coop a great value whether you’re feeding yourself or a group. It’s the kind of place you’ll recommend to friends without hesitation and make a point to revisit every time you’re in the area.
In short, Yoop Coop isn’t just a restaurant—it’s an experience that combines great food, great people, and a welcoming vibe. If you’re anywhere near the Upper Peninsula, this is a must-visit spot that will keep you coming back for more.

This is a restaurant that serves some high quality chicken. They offered some creative sauces. Chicken takes some time, but it was served hot. Waffle fries and tots were nicely crispy but a little salty. Next time I will order unsalted.
The baskets are sharable, for sure. I went with two other people, and no one finished their meal.

Enjoyed everything about this place aside from the fact that the meal was a bit too salty. This goes for the breaded chicken, grilled chicken, and fries. Sauces were delicious (an impressively wide selection) and the serving size was ample. The chicken was very good aside from being too salty. A great spot, but might benefit from changing the way/extent to which the chicken and fries are salted.

Good food, like a chick fila knock off. Mac and cheese had very little flavor.
